Typical environment, underground unfortunately, but top friendly staff and great food! We had the duck and the elk. Nicely cooked and lots of side things to go with. Especially the elk was amazing! The brownies we had for dessert weren't something special and we didn't try the house maid ice-cream: the mint-cumin or raspberry-goat cheese flavors seemed too risky. Not... More

Lobster and shrimp skewers for my wife and the goulash for me . Chicken cordon Bleu spring rolls for an appetizer and a creme Brule as well as a fruit crumble with an ice wine for dessert. Everything amazing . Cooked to perfection. Service was exceptional and prices reasonable. Can't wait to visit again and try something different

Everything about this place is amazing. Incredible selection of beverages - especially the Caesars and beer! We started with the poivree poutini which was fantastic. I had the Moroccan chicken sandwich which was beyond delicious. My boyfriend had the Dan arn burger, and said "this is the way a burger should be" needless to say, he loved it. We were... More

You would think this is a "pub" of sorts from the outside, but down the stairs you go and into a beautiful modern setting with amazing food, amazing service and an all round amazing ambiance! Our server Lauren was polite, helpful, friendly, everything you could ask for! The other servers were also very polite and I really felt like all... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience in this sports themed restaurant and lounge. Down a flight of stairs the brick interior , decor and great music (instrumental, a little funky, not too loud, good beat ) create a real ambience. Service pleasant and attentive. Good wine list. But the cuisine is the real winner. Our steak and salmon mains were... More

This place rock Star! The ambiance is really comfortable and the music is chill, cool but not hipster. It was excellent music and atmosphere. Then there is the staff, super friendly but not invasive. Seamus was that man, ask for him. The food was exceptional. Know that I travel a LOT and I eat really well, so trust me on... More

We had a very enjoyable meal here. We chose a bunch of starters and ate them as tapas. The food service was incredibly fast and the staff were friendly. Would definitely go back if we were in town again. There were lots of vegetarian choices. I particularly liked the Asian salad (half size) - both delicious and cheap. The pretzel... More

What drew us to this restaurant were the many gluten free options. Most of the dishes you can have gf or not gf, waitress told us this was because they make their own sauces. Restaurant is located down a flight of stairs and has a great atmosphere. There are normal table and chairs and also high tables with stools. Many... More

Everything about the food and drinks was amazing! The menu was varied and offered many alternatives for veg and gf which was much appreciated. Even the sides that came with the meal were executed well. Will be back for sure!

The Downstream was recreated in 2008 by local owner Sotirios Korogonas as a concept for a modern restaurant & lounge that retains Jasper's mountain town spirit and casual feel. Chef David Gomez masterfully delivers Jasper's best homemade meals using only the freshest ingredients. His attention to detail and passion for excellence is defined by the superior reputation his menu and our staff have earned amongst our loyal customers. Shawn Routledge and our service team ARE dedicated to ensuring a superior experience by providing our customers with a truly comfortable atmosphere in the most personal public room in Jasper. Together we have created a menu that is the best dollar for dollar value in the park.
