Came in for appies and drinks on a cold, cold night. They have an incredible back bar in here yet the cocktail list by no means does it justice. Generic & uninspired, someone needs to take these amazing bottles and put them to use. Food menu looked very interesting, but fell short on execution. Miso Steak Bites were tepid at... More

The food was really good, if a little expensive. The service was good, the drinks were good, the place wasn't too busy but not empty, and the decor was really nice!

I came here after seeing it on 'You Gotta Eat Hear' for supper on a Monday night. The restaurants is not very big but has a nice décor with a high end feel to it. I ordered the Mexicaine Poutine & the braised Canadian plains bison short ribs. The poutine was pretty good the fries in it where awesome &... More

Overall, the restaurant was very good - friendly service, and really good food. We got there around 5:30 on a Friday night and it was quite empty, but by the time we left, around 6:30 - 7:00, it was packed. Entrees typically started at mid $20's so it's not the cheapest place to eat, however I would likely go back.

We went here based on the previous reviews and also after reading the menu which looked interesting. Food was ok but nothing special as they had a habit of putting too many random things on the plate that didn't really go.. They also managed to forgot our starter and compared to other eateries in Jasper it is quite expensive!

Out of 4 people in our group, 3 had the Dan Arn burger and 1 had the lasagne - the burger was delicious and the lasagne was different but good. If you don't expect a traditional lasagne, you'll enjoy it more. :)

You're average bar come eatery in Canada - typical dishes with good food selections and good service. Not particularly risky food but tasty and delivered hot with good flavour. I question whether the salmon was wild as advertised as the colour was very soft and the flavour not so special. That's only a suspicion - so perhaps try for yourself!

My husband and I went for drinks/supper at downstream! Our server was absolutely amazing! Our bill was $196.00 by the time we left, because we stayed so long we had a great time!!! Not one complaint! Food was amazing, tried many delicious drinks, and had a lot of laughs!!! Great memories from here!!!

Went there for a birthday celebration. Smoked duck breast and braised bison short ribs were our choices. Crafts beers available. Great service. They gave us a free dessert and wrote 'Happy b-day" on the plate. Highly recommend.

We had reservations but were seated at high tables not far from the bar in this sports bar type restaurant. Several TVs showed film clips of various Canadian water sports. We shared the Miso steak bite appetizer, small bite sized pieces of steak, presented in a large martini style server, however, some were a bit grizzly. We had the Salmon... More

The Downstream was recreated in 2008 by local owner Sotirios Korogonas as a concept for a modern restaurant & lounge that retains Jasper's mountain town spirit and casual feel. Chef David Gomez masterfully delivers Jasper's best homemade meals using only the freshest ingredients. His attention to detail and passion for excellence is defined by the superior reputation his menu and our staff have earned amongst our loyal customers. Shawn Routledge and our service team ARE dedicated to ensuring a superior experience by providing our customers with a truly comfortable atmosphere in the most personal public room in Jasper. Together we have created a menu that is the best dollar for dollar value in the park.
