we have been here many times, for the most part, the food is good. the rolls are good, however high priced. it is a clean restaurant, and you can watch while they make your food. they have a very large menu, lots to choose from.

Strip mall Japanese isn't always great but this was excellent. Good specials, fast service. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Friendly, helpful staff. They have rooms for small groups without having to sit on the floor. Would definitely return.

Compared to some of the other sushi places in the area this was really good. We did take out so I can't comment on the atmosphere or service but I ordered over the phone and picked up within 15 minutes! Prices were a bit steep in my opinion but this seems to be the norm with sushi in GP

0/5 not 1/5. The moment you step in the restaurant, you'll get a good impression just by looking at the place itself. The set up is nice. Unfortunately, this is the only positive thing I could say about Tokyo Ichiban. During our trip to Alberta, the worst customer service experience we have received was from the servers in this restaurant!!... More

I was not impressed with my most recent visit to Tokyo ichiban. The lettuce in my salad was rusty and wilted and the oysters were flavorless. It was ok average sushi other than that, with the making being pretty good and the tempura not too bad. Not as good as I remember, but ok.

Staff is friendly - menu/food is typical - prices are above average. Have had a better experience at other places.

Without trying the sushi at Soto, I would say that Tokyo Ichiban has the best in Grande Prairie. I have been multiple times and the food is always fresh and well presented. Their menu is extensive, there is lots to choose from whether you want soup, stir fry, raw sushi, sushi with no fish, I think there is something for... More

My wife enjoys the sushi. We both agree the tempura shrimp is great. I had the wor won ton on my last visit. Loaded with won-tons, thought the shrimp was a little bland, you could actually taste the freshness in the whole peas. Over all very good soup. Server was great, she has been there for a while. Nice atmosphere... More

Best food, little pricey but worth it. Their Wor Won Ton has no equal, paired with any of the Tempura dishes makes for marvelous fair. Eat their once and you will become a regular.
