Nice Italian restaurant housed in an old church building. Huge menu. Very good food at very reasonable prices. Noisy but very enjoyable.

The staff are very accommodating without being overbearing. The food is fresh and always great! If you don't see it on the menu, ask. The staff will make your request. The Italian Salad for 2 can actually feed 4. Everyone is welcome! I was witness to the manager welcoming an under privileged person in for a hot meal, complimentary.

I found that this place had waaaay too many options on the menu. Its hard to believe a place serves really good food when they stretch themselves in so many directions. That said, Chiantis did meet expectation and service was really good. Food was average, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. Would recommend.

For a place located in one of the Edmonton's historical buildings (old Post Office in old Strathcona), the ambiance could have been much better. The lack of design and badly positionned tables are a disappointment. It is being compensated by the outstanding service of the waiting team though. As far as the menu is concerned, there are some pleasant surprises... More

I visited on a weekday lunchtime and had the sole in pesto sauce half portion for $9.50 - for people like me with smaller appetites, it's perfectly sized for a great price. Free bread served before the meal, staff were friendly and it tasted divine.

My wife and I walked all of Whyte Avenue and decided on this restaurant for our Sunday lunch. We arrived before 1PM and got a nice table and after our lunch, all table were filled. We enjoyed 2 one half portions of our favorite Italian meals with drinks for a reasonable price in this nicely remodeled first floor of the... More

Came here based on good reviews. Wasn't really overly impressed with the food. Service was excellent. I ordered the Pollo Con Asparagi. I was pretty excited until it was ready in less than 10 minutes and was barely warm when it got to the table. Reminded me of food that was mass produced at a dinner theatre I went too.... More

Great friendly atmoshpere, amazing food. Try the fried mozzarella, as it is amazing. Big pasta portion sizes, so you won't go hungry after a meal, and delicious!

We had couple over from Toronto and went to Chianti for birthday dinner and all 4 of us loved this place. Waiter was great, very attentive and had time to talk to us. Food was delicious: i had tortellini with creamy Gorgonzola source, hubby had daily special-- chicken with shrimps in rose sauce and it was very very good. We... More
