Well where do we start with Vivo! It's most definitely a one of a kind atmosphere and setting with the open-concept theme that shouts sophistication and shows off the clean, professional kitchen environment. There is no messing around in the kitchen which is run by an experienced in-house chef. All ingredients are purchased from local sources and the emphasis on... More

Wanted to celebrate a milestone birthday in a special way and Vivo definitely delivered on that! the atmosphere is so wonderful, it's electric. The primo dishes started and we had tomato salad and ceasar salad, both impressive. Then secondo was risotto and a gnocci that the kids destroyed - they too were so delicious. Finally, we had tenderloin and grilled... More

Probably a good idea to make reservations in advance, as we did. Fills up very quickly. A few problems we found was that there is no noise abatement, it gets very loud . Each table is packed in tightly and you have to talk over everybody to have any kind of conversation, which also means you can pick up on... More

A great place to go for a family dinner. For the appetizers we had the caprese salad and the carpaccio - both were very good. Group sized portions means everyone can have a little taste of everything, which worked well for us. Main course was mafalda, pollo ruspante, and filletto di manzo. Everything we tasted was truly fantastic! Check out... More

There was five of us and portions that were suppose to feed five barely fed two. The Cesar salad was soggy and salty. The pasta portions were tasteless, small and very boring. The chicken was tough and tasteless. The mushrooms were soggy tasteless and had some sort of very hard like plastic substance that hurt my tooth. The carrots and... More

We visited Vivo Ristorante for a family birthday celebration is it was a fantastic experience. The food is meant to be shared family style so order portions with caution. The plates are superb and everything we tried was great! The kitchen is open so you can watch the team cook, which is entertaining in itself! The service was great and... More

I knew this restaurant was expensive because my wife had been here before. Interesting way to order food for groups and we were a large group. Wine list was extensive with mostly Italian wines and a grouping of non-Italian wines. From memory a bottle was $55 - cheapest and glasses started at $13 for 6 ounces. We started with a... More

My wife and I went here for our "Dinner and a movie" date. When you walk in you can see by the decor that this is a serious restaurant, with a very attractive and modern decor. It just screams "high cuisine". The impression is not false. We had a reservation and were seated in a very nice table location. There... More

I went to this restaurant with a friend. The waiter explained the approach of this restaurant which is some form of family dining - large portions. We ordered the grilled Caesar salad, roasted Brussels sprouts and the Branzino. The salad was find but nothing special. The Branzino was perfectly cooked and delicious. I should have sent the Brussels sprouts back... More

Vivo is definitely one of the best restaurants in Edmonton. We were able to enjoy Vivo again in mid-June to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The servers are knowledgeable and professional and take the time to explain the dishes when they are brought to the table. The caprese salad, fetuccini al formaggio, and beef tenderloin are our favourite dishes to order.... More
