We ordered four early take-out Mother's Day meals for May 08 (Munich Pork Chop, Trout, Rack of Lamb and Chicken Stroganoff; two salads and two soups-pickle and sauerkraut). The food was all delicious and the servings were huge, resulting in at least two meals for each of us. We cannot wait until the pandemic has ended (we will not eat inside before then) and we can return to the comfortable and friendly atmosphere of this excellent restaurant.

The portion sizes here are pretty big, but who doesn't love leftovers. :)

Brought my family to this restaurant for my parents’ anniversary. My mom is celiac, so it was amazing to dine at a place where we didn’t have to ask a million questions about ingredients and substitutions or worry about cross contamination!
Everything from the service to food from appetizers to desert was excellent. Our server was gracious when she did make mistakes and corrected them right away. All of the staff were so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

Went here for a late lunch and what a treat.
Started off with a beer (half priced bottles on Tuesday) and my wife had the delicious mulled mine. Followed that up with some soup, Pickle and Borscht, both mind numbling amazing. I seriously thought about just having three cups of soup for lunch and I don't think I would have disappointed in the slightest.
Next we did the spinach pyrogies and again, what a treat. Had a serious discussion about if next time we should just order cups of soup and plates of all th pyrogies.
Finally our mains were delivered. I had the Atlantic Cod which at this point, I could barely put back but was very well prepared and presented. My wife had the Stroganof which was very much the same.
We ended the meal with more beer and was delivered a complimentary desert for our anniversary.
The service was phenominal, the atmosphere eaually so. I do recommend however not sitting on the south wall of building on sunny days, was uncomfortably hot at times.

My last visit was pre covid March 2020. A friend took me out for my 65 birthday last week. The Schnitzels are always good; the salads tasty. The complimentary bread not as good as 2020; the butter taste is not tasty (is it butter?). Service was good.

Despite the unexpected and often illogical restrictions from the pandemic, this family business has even enhanced and diversified their menus with something for everyone in both food and drink and their usual quality service now includes home delivery. Their onsite upgrades and enhancements are classic and pleasing to the eye and now provide unmatched privacy and quality for patrons. Whether you attend as booked, walk-in, or private function guests you will start planning your next visit before you leave.

This is one of our favourite places to eat at. I have medically-confirmed celiac disease, and I am therefore quite limited for restaurants (due to risk of cross-contamination). Many dedicated gluten free food establishments tend to lack in flavour, variety, and culture, but that is not the case with Continental. This is an establishment serving genuine European food which happens to be gluten free. Our personal favourite is the chicken schnitzel with potato salad, but all of their food is incredible. I was initially wary at the concept of a "dill pickle soup", but you just need to get past that, because it's incredible. Thank you for providing me with such an incredible dining experience!

Too much baking, cross country skiing and housework so thought we'd do take out which we rarely do. Thank you for filling our bellie! Our daughter is 10 and losing 2 teeth so the cod & spaetzel make her happy as she could chew with no worry. I love tartar sauce with my schnitzel and yours is to die for! Loved it on the fish as well with splash of fresh lemon. Happy to pick up to support you by picking up and the service in doing so was exceptional as was the super kind lady on the phone who took our order! Friends had recommended this restaurant since we were passing through Edmonton on our way home to Victoria and since my husband and I both like good schnitzel we decided to give it a try. Well, what a dining experience! From our server Gabriel, who is what every server should be, to every morsel of food, we have nothing but good things to say. Although we both had the schnitzel we each picked a different sauce. I preferred the dill sauce to my husband's mushroom sauce, but both were delicious. Oh, and giving us a sample of their signature dill pickle soup was a good move. We will definitely order it the next time we are there. And there will be a next time.

Took my wife out for her birthday dinner at the Jasper ave location. We usually do the Whyte ave location but decided to try the downtown location. It is a lot bigger than the south side but still fairly nice. It was a bit louder with the wide open space and more people but still enjoyable. The food was pretty good with the exception of them being out of a number of items on the menu. Our server was a young lady named Caroline. She was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, although by the end of our meal she looked a little flushed from traversing the larger restaurant. Still, the service was exceptional. Parking was limited because of the road changes the city made but we didn’t have to walk, too far. An enjoyable night and an enjoyable dinner overall.

Both locations are very different and we love them both as they offer a different ambience. I am so sorry that you did not have the option of some items on the menu. On Friday we decided to do take out. Since we haven’t been able to go to our new favourite restaurant for a sit down meal we did the next best thing, we did take out.
Four meals were ordered, Polish Cutlet with pan fried potatoes, Pork Schnitzel with potato salad, Salmon with Spatzle, Chicken Schnitzel along with two loads of the best gluten free bread.
Each of our meals were beyond delicious. We had the best take out meal and can’t wait to be able to attend the restaurant when it is allowed again.

Visited Continental Treat with out of town guests at their newest location at 9698 Jasper Ave, the old Hardware Grill location. Parking is convenient at Canada Place parkade across the street. This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The restaurant is very attractive with a terrific bar and wine room. The bar has a great selection of whiskies, ports, etc. There are nice seating areas for couples or groups with a view of Jasper Ave/river valley one side and 97 street the other. Wait staff are very friendly and professional. Food is fantastic. We were there for Saturday lunch and the dill pickle soup, potatoes/cabbage soup, and cabbage roll, wurst, smoked meat sandwiches were all delicious. We presume other menu items for lunch or evening meals are also delicious, and will be returning soon. I highly recommend this restaurant on Jasper Ave, and hopefully their original location on Whyte Ave is equally as good.

I’ve eaten here once before and it had top quality food, all gluten free, but delicious for everyone, and was a great dining experience with a professional server.
Based on that, I booked a special occasion here with 8 diners. I’m not sure if our server was new, tired, too busy, or uninterested because the gratuity was guaranteed, but we got very little service and with none of the continental dining style as last time.
No checkins, left the menus on the table after ordering and through the appetizers, no asks about second beverages, reached in front of diners to serve the person beside them, did not offer coffee or after dinner drinks and disappeared for a very long time so we could not ask.
The steak specials were delivered to the wrong spots so not done as requested, but discovered too late to trade plates. The anniversary couple were waited on last and served last with no greeting or well wishes although they were the senior members of the group, and one schnitzel was dried to a crisp on the edges.
Not a horrible experience, but other than the joy of gluten free, it was less service than an inexpensive chain. Ok, but disappointing.

Never enough times to get to eat here. There are other menu items but I like the Wiener schnitzel. Dill sauce or mushroom gravy available as extra. A cup of dill soup is a good starter, and there are other soups and starters, but don’t get a bowl as one must plan to leave room for dessert if wanted…

Very special experience and evening. VIP experience at a table looking onto the kitchen (we made reservations for a “chef’s tasting”). Chef Liam’s personal touch. Great food, service and overall, special night. Beautiful plating. Visit by the chefs, owner… we recommend the restaurant.
