Located centrally and close to hotels and downtown, The Marc is an absolute treat! The menu is fairly consistent in the types of items it offers but changes it up by the season as well as the preparation on some of their signature choices. It is hard not to order the duck or artic char every time. This visit, we... More

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Edmonton. The restaurant is nicely decorated - tasteful and elegant, but not presumptious. The service is impeccable and the waiter always has good ideas for pairing. The food is superb. Portions are nice. Save room for desert. My wife had scallops, char and crème caramel. I had red wine poached egg and... More

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was not overly pricy for a French bistro style, but definitely tasty. My friend ordered the Croque Madame (Valbella ham, fried egg, sauce soubise, Gruyere cheese, house mustard on toasted buttermilk potato bread served with side salad) - I had a bite and would easily order this... Seriously, the steak here is to die for. I would also recommend any of the fish dishes or the specials. Great food, reasonably priced for a fine dining spot and again an institution in YEG

Went for a the Alsatian 3 course menu. It was wonderful and the portion sizes were far too big! I could have gone with half. The dishes were wonderfully paired with very fitting wines and the dishes were well executed. The fois gras was very tasty, simply presented but good. The choucroute was delicious...sauerkraut balanced the dish very well. Desert... More

This was the worst food that we have had in Edmonton. We chose this based on previous reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor and pride ourselves on choosing restaurants that are, at the very least, acceptable. The food was dreadful! We ordered the steak tartar which was poorly presented and had too much vinegar. It was served looking like a... More

I was here for a weekday work lunch. The service was excellent! I had the pork special and I enjoyed it very much. We had beignets for dessert and WOW!!! They are so light and fluffy; the caramel sauce was amazing! I would definitely return.

We finally made it to The Marc for my husbands birthday celebration. Everything about our visit was outstanding! Excellent service by Luanne, good conversation with Patrick. The scallop appetizer and the beet salad were wonderful. My husband had the ribeye steak and declared it was most likely 'the best steak' he has ever eaten. Despite his plans to take some... More

I went for lunch with a group of friends. We waited over 45 minutes after giving our order before the food came. I don't mind waiting if the food is worth it, but unfortunately this was not. I ordered the squash salad. It was very disappointing. The portion size was quite small for the $17 price tag - typical size... More

The room is austere - noise bounces off the hard surfaces: the floor-to-ceiling glass facing 106 St., and the concrete floor. Nevertheless it is almost full on this Saturday night, with a mostly young crowd. The roasted red pepper and tomato soup (7) is orange-colored and has an odd flavor - the spices are unidentifiable. The Cornish hen (28) is... More
