At the lazy loaf and kettle here in Calgary the sandwiches are very amazing you can build your own. With a side of soup or salad. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, lettuce and pickles. ( you can choose a sauce or butter but.. I'm not a big sauce guy so I got it plain) the bread... More

It seems like things have changed since I last visited a number of years ago. Overall, not so congenial. It felt rather stark. It might have been that there was only one other person there but, I remember this place being more active and cozy. The breakfast was bland. It didn't have anything to make me want to come back.

My daughter and I dropped in for lunch on the may long weekend. We love the sandwiches, which you choose your own toppings and make whatever combo you like. Their homemade bread is so delicious! They also have a great assortment of homemade desserts. I've been eating here for about 16 years and have never been disappointed. It's more of... More

We met here for late afternoon coffee/tea. The place was busy and active during our visit. We split a confetti square and it was way too sweet for our tastes. And the water jugs were never refilled! Needed a bit of a tidy up but we would certainly try it again!

I was told this place was pretty unreal when it came to sandwiches so we grabbed some on our way out of town. The bread as all made fresh which is pretty nice. You get to pick what you want on your sandwich for toppings too. I guess I just thought it would be cheaper. We didn't even get drinks... More

My family and I regularly visit Lazy Loaf and Kettle. It's a great place to stop for a treat when you're walking along the river, or grab a sandwich to eat on a bench by the river or on their outdoor patio. It's even a great place to head for dessert or coffee with a friend. They offer tender baked... More

My wife and I and our friend and his fiancé stopped at the Lazy Loaf Kettle Cafe and Bakery for lunch. It is located on a dead end street with parking on each side and in the middle. He was driving a pickup truck and it was very tight to manoeuvre. There was nowhere to park so we ended up... More

I know some people love the Loaf. I just don't share their enthusiasm. The first time I went in, there were a lot of flies buzzing around. The ordering system is awkward, with the little forms one has to complete. The food is simple, comfort food, with sandwiches and baked goods, but it's just not very appetizing. This stretch of... We went here for breakfast on the strength of a review in the City Palate magazine. We were disappointed. The attitude of the woman taking our order at the till was supercilious and gave off an appearance of being indifferent. The service and was good but my husband had the eggs benny which he thought were ho-hum; would have been... More
