First off I would like to point out that I have been going to this restaurant for about 10+ years. It has been about 2 years since my last visit. Normally this place was a great spot in the past however the last dining experience left me and my Girlfriend with a bad experience that won't be forgotten. First off... More

We were seated at our table immediately, as we had reservations. Water was brought to our table, and waitress took our order for drinks. She came back within a short time to take our dinner order. Hubby had the burger, which was ginormous and very tasty, I had the roast beef with garlic bread, and baked potatoe with all the... More

I wanted a good feed of Alberta Beef before we left Calgary and not a chain like Keg Etc., Well we got everything we wanted and more here. Full soup and salad bar, good wine paring and a great feed of prime rib and sirloin steak, both cooked to perfection. I knew we were in the right place when we... More

I had a great dinner here with my family. We started with the yummy teriyaki riblings. Then two of us had the build your own stir-fry. I always have leftovers, so I get to enjoy it the next day too. My husband had the wok seared salmon which was excellent. My son had the black pepper chicken which he also... More

My wife have been here twice now. Both times were on our anniversary. Service was spectacular! And our server the last time was funny...I recommend to start your meal with the bacon rapped scallops. Amazing flavor. We will definitely be back :)

Recommended by hotel staff and we were not dissapointed. We were lucky to get a table as everything was booked and a 2 hour wait (Friday night). Decor very different to what we have experienced but was an intimate setting and nice lighting. Loved the wood paneling on the walls. Menu extensive and suit everyone. All entrees came with vegetables... More

A group of us decided to go to Smugglers Inn for lunch, not knowing what to expect. Plenty of free parking is available in the immediate vicinity. The interior is comfortable and inviting. All of the lunchtime entrees include soup and salads which you serve yourself. There were three types of soup, all of which were very good and the... More

I believe this is one of the few quality restaurants in Calgary that offers brunch on Saturday. We easily made reservations and there was a table available immediately. The food was fresh, plentiful and delightful in flavour. We did arrive early and it was still quiet at the time although it can be busy if you attend later on which... More

Love the Food and the Friendly Service @ Tango, one of the group of Trendy Restaurants at Smugglers! I especially like the Small Plate menu, which is the way I enjoy tasting lots of Yummy Flavors at once. I recommend this Restaurant to friends and Family regularly!

Description
Smuggler's Inn originally began in 1967 as Bar X Steakhouse, an American company. The current owner, Frank Krowicki, bought out his partners and went to work developing a brand new concept to Calgary. His vision included a mix of casual, late night fine dining and live piano bar. Over the years, the building expanded around Smuggler's Inn, with the addition of Winelite dining room on the west side, and Backstreet lounge and dining room on the north side. As the dining scene in Calgary began to change, Frank too saw a need to change and adapt. The first endeavour was the conversion of Backstreet lounge to Open Sesame in 2000. Open Sesame has been serving fresh, Pan Asian cuisine to happy customers ever since. The conversion of Backstreet dining room to Bolero was complete in 2007. As Calgary's first Brazilian style steakhouse, Bolero continues to satisfy meat lovers with its unique and interactive style of dining. Our latest addition is Tango Bistro, on the west side of the building, which once was Winelite dining room. At Tango Bistro, we bring together delicious, hand crafted small plates and fantastic wine to create a casual atmosphere for all to enjoy. In May 2013, Smuggler's Inn celebrated 40 years of serving mouth-watering Alberta prime rib and steaks alongside many original items, which have made us famous around the world. Four restaurants under one roof keeps us busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way. And the rest, as they say, is history! Smuggler's Group Rewards is a unique program that rewards you every time you visit us. For every dollar you spend, you earn points towards FREE Loyalty Certificates from Smuggler's Group Of Restaurants. Whenever you make a purchase, simply present your Smuggler's Group Rewards Card. We will automatically track your purchases and assign points to your membership. For every 200 points you accumulate, you will accumulate, you will automatically receive a $10 loyalty certificate to redeem on your next visit. There is no charge or fee associated with the Smuggler's Group Rewards Program. Just fill out the application, turn it in to us, and start using it right away.
