But they seemed angry. Service and food left a lot to be desired. We were seated and ordered a round of drinks....the only ones to be had in the over 2 hours we were there. We ordered the calamari to start followed by the meat appetizer platter with the crab and corn bread add on. Honestly we the calamari left... More

I was there with a group for lunch and they were very accommodating in terms of everyone's schedule - the fact that we arrived at different times, ordered at different times and all wanted our own bill was no problem. Despite our scattered timing on ordering, the food arrived in a timely manner and was very good. The ambience of... More

Went there with my son. We started with burnt ends and wings. Burnt ends were fine, but I had better as a dive restaurant in KC a few times. Wings were cooked fine and I did enjoy the sauces.....however, people that call them the best in the city need to go more places. My son has the burger. He doesn't... More

We went to Booker's for the BBQ. And it was just ok. We started with the andouille sausage, very good; the brisket ends, tough, cold, not much flavour; and the crab cakes, plentiful but cold. For my meal I ordered the St Louis style ribs. They were tender fall off the bone. I just didn't like the spice combination used... More

Hey ! So we headed down there again for their wing night last night ( WED - Jan 18) it's really good, we're been there about 3 times before. The trouble started when we ordered 40 (that's four of their $5.00 buck plates) and me and the warden also ordered a large salad as well. Later the guy came back... More

First visit to this place and it was good. Food was exceptional. The jambalaya was too notch. Brisket was tenderrrrrrrr!!! Decor included lots of screens for sports in an old refurbished brick warehouse. Cool! Service was only good. Not great. That is the only improvement. Needed

All-you-can-eat is a bit pricey if you're not hungry. So visit hungry, because it's worth it. Simply the best all you can eat crab, also has good sea-food, good bbq ribs & smoked wings. Never had a bad meal, never had bad service here. The Key lime cheesecake is worth saving room for, too (not that that's an easy thing... More

Came here with girlfriend and we shared crab bucket and grilled meat platter (ribs + brisket). There was more than enough food. The meat portions and sides are generous. You must try the beef brisket. Best tasting and most tender I've ever tried.

Hadn't been to Bookers in a while so some of us from work dropped by the other day. I had the jambalya, it was really quite good. Lots of shrimp and sausage with just the right amount of spice. I had the 1/2 order which was plenty for lunch, especially when paired with a cup of the gumbo soup, which... More

Description
Bookers BBQ + Crab Shack brings an authentic Southern atmosphere to Calgary with a comfortable, upbeat dining and drinking experience. Located in a century-old brick warehouse, Bookers is a hidden gem at the gateway to Calgary’s East Village. Seasoned BBQ chefs slow smoke over 200 lbs of Alberta chicken, beef, and pork every day and serve it alongside fresh seafood, local produce, signature cocktails, and original, house made sauces and rubs. Bookers is Calgary’s oldest BBQ institution where freedom and fun are ingrained in the culture, kitchen and guest experience.
