Took out of town guests to Booker's for dinner after a day at the Stampede. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ambiance was good, not too loud. We ordered the BBQ platter with crab legs for five people and we had so much food left over. We ordered the Big Butt Potato for an appetizer (awesome). The only disappoint were... More

Doesn't look like much from the outside. Week night, large place, half full. Quick and polite waitress. Good beer selection. The sides were good but the BBQ ribs were excellent.

We'd seen this reviewed on 'You gotta eat here', and whilst it doesn't look much from the outside - get inside and it's got lots of character and charm. We took our kids (12, 9 and 6) - who all pronounced that it was the best BBQ food they'd eaten and devoured the snow crab legs. Service was great, very... More

Took us a long time to try this place but we will be back soon. Great atmosphere, wait staff and awesome food. There were four of us and everything we tried was amazing. Shrimp and crab boil was very good, ribs were to die for - very meaty and cooked perfectly. Also choice of sauces on the table. Beef brisket... More

This is a sports bar, which large tvs located through-out. We went here for an early dinner- wait staff was friendly but more interested in talking to other staff than waiting on us. Food and drinks were good. We were happy we walked here from our hotel as parking was not the easiest.

The atmosphere brought me back to New Orleans immediately, it was inviting and the server was kind and very enthusiastic and knows very well the menu as well the drink option. We ordered the sample platter and was big feast to start enjoying the Cajun cuisine, it was so delicious and as mentioned enough to have a taste of Cajun... More

The place was full so we had to sit at the bar. It turned out great because the two guys behind the bar were really friendly and took good care of us. They were nice to my son and chatted with us while we were there. They even sold us on the cheeaecake after for desert and it was yummy.

All you can eat crab and ribs. Crab was hot and fresh and the smoked ribs were awesome and abundant! Definitely a must! Service was spot on. Almost done and another bucket of crab comes out

Had the all you can eat crab and ribs. The ribs were really good and tasty. The crab was not that good. They must have gotten a bad batch of crab because it was malted. The legs barely had any meat in them. I'm not sure if there been cheap and charging out the leg for this by the quality... More

On a visit to Calgary we discovered this place. We love southern food so had to try it. The cornbread was by far the best I've had, which is saying a lot! The brisket burnt ends were delicious! The mashed potatoes were okay, but nothing to write home about. The crab was so good we ordered an extra bucket to... More

Description
Bookers BBQ + Crab Shack brings an authentic Southern atmosphere to Calgary with a comfortable, upbeat dining and drinking experience. Located in a century-old brick warehouse, Bookers is a hidden gem at the gateway to Calgary’s East Village. Seasoned BBQ chefs slow smoke over 200 lbs of Alberta chicken, beef, and pork every day and serve it alongside fresh seafood, local produce, signature cocktails, and original, house made sauces and rubs. Bookers is Calgary’s oldest BBQ institution where freedom and fun are ingrained in the culture, kitchen and guest experience.
