We booked for brunch ( hard to get in otherwise) and had an amazing brunch at the Monki. Our meal was great, eggs bene done perfectly as well as my classic bacon and eggs. The coffee is good and we watched other plat4es some out...that looked amazing. The tables are close together and it is small noisy but fin, so if you are looking for a quiet brunch this is not your spot. And look for the tiny monkey amongst the greenery!More

Had a nice brunch here. We booked using WaitList linked from their website, loved this feature. The service was friendly and efficient. We tried the Salmon Eggs Benedict which was awesome. We also tried the French Toast, which was excellent [a 5/5], but a little...sweet and decadent for my personal liking for brunch. We’ll definitely be back.More

The food and atmosphere were actually pretty good. They are very limited on vegetarian options and the waitress was quite rude and put off that we even asked questions.

Breakfast poutine, hands down the best breakfast I've ever had! Thank you so much for this experience. Nice and cosy bistro - a definite for anyone passing through Calgary

My niece took us to this unusually named restaurant for breakfast. We had reservations so were seated immediately after arrival. It's decor is a bright way to welcome the day -- featuring monkeys doing antics among greenery as well as pictures of them on the...walls. The menu offers something for every palate and size of appetite. I ordered a classic bacon with eggs, hash browns and multi-grain toast. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were done exactly to my liking with crispy bacon. The coffee accompanying my meal was hot and tasty. My sister enjoyed her French Toast and my niece, her eggs Benedict. Our waitress provided good, attentive service. If visiting Calgary, this restaurant should be on your list of eateries to try.More

It was our very first day in Canada and we needed some comfort food because of the rain and jetlag...What a good idea we had pushing Monki’s door ! A really cosy place that serves generous portions. We left the place filled with happiness (and...pancakes).More

It had been a few years since I had been here for breakfast. It would seem things had changed. The huevos Rancheros I ordered was small with one egg. I was asked about several possible add ons which all cost more money. The coffee was...$3.75 which is also expensive. My friend had the burger which was not up to the same standard as a few years ago. Very nice service but the food was disappointing.More

Enjoyed a family brunch at this restaurant, it was my 1st time there. Great menu, something for everyone, had The Morning After plate which was delicious, waffles were also ordered and they were fantastic, very moist, real maple syrup as well! A small cosy restaurant,...I’d recommend making a reservation to ensure getting seating and avoid wait times.More

Recently featured on Big Food Bucket List. So we had to try it out for lunch. I had the brisket bene with pink hollandaise. $18. The eggs were perfectly soft and the sauce tasty. The portion of brisket was so small it would shame a...Southerner. The side of potato nuggets were home cut and deliciously crispy and spiced. The fruit choice was no more than a scant garnish ( a fail). There are dozens of hot sauces available; I chose 2 really hot. My wife pronounced her chocolate waffle $17 to be very good. Bottomless coffees were $3.75 Eloise obviously enjoyed her work.More
