We visited Cassis on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was great! The bright atmosphere is very welcoming and makes you feel like it's a spring day in France. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was, well, it was delicious! We tried each of the croque madame, monsieur, and madamoiselle as well as the quiche du... More

I believe I reviewed this place the first time around when we had lunch there. It was a good experience the first time around and we had a good time. That's why it was on our list to go back for dinner. We where there a few nights ago on a Thursday night and it was very busy. We managed... More

Went to Cassis Bistro after having heard that they had the best beef tartare in town. I make a pretty amazing beef tartare myself, so I am picky! ... And it was delicious! The real French classic version! The raviolis are a must as well! Everything was really good! Shawn our server was funny and helpful, he gladly made us... More

This used to be a favourite restaurant, but I can no longer recommend it. I understand from my server that they now have a different chef. Food is expensive and not that inventive. Steak frites was $37. A salad was $13 and without much interest. And we should have been advised that the steak frites came with their own salad.... More

We had lunch here recently and were not disappointed. The food was exquisite as was the service. I ordered the soup of the day - a rich and very flavourful tomato soup along with the tomato tart; my partner ordered the special of the day - clams with frites...excellent. This is one of the finest French bistros in Calgary offering... More

Appetizers were good. Cocktail was good. I had the steak frites with a bechemal sauce. It was hood but I prefer the peppercorn. Everyone else had peppercorn sauce. The steak was good and the salas. I had the opera cake which was very good. Others had the tarte tartin and the nougatine dessert. All were good.

This was the best French dining experience we have had outside of France itself. The food was spectacular. I have tried Coq au Vin in several regions throughout France, they were all magnificent, but this was probably the best Coq au Vin (plat du jour) I have ever had. The bistro is quaint and the staff were all excellent. We... More

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant with close proximity to the Bella Theatre at Mount Royal University and we came upon Cassis. The menu was exquisitely French of course with many choices. We indulged in some new cocktails to start and quickly followed the server's recommendation for red wine. For dinner we decided to share the charcuterie... More

This popular French restaurant is located in a corner building. Your GPS may direct you to the front of the building, but the restaurant itself is on the street level of the side of the building, around the corner from the building’s front. It is owned and operated by an affable Frenchman who was there and managing the place the... More
