The menu is basic over priced and if you have any dietary restrictions be prepared to be judged and eye rolled at. The environment is one of your lucky to be here...take what you get.

Very comfortable ambiance! Staff very accommodating! Menu is very seafood and bistro style in it's presentation. Best duck fat pommes frites in town! Duck dishes are exquisite. Great variety of beers---wine menu sophisticated---quality whiskeys. Brunch appears to be a "Flagship" favourite! Definite repeat!

I was so excited to finally dine at Brasserie as I read the positive reviews. All I can say is that it was an off day for them. My duck eggs and sausage came out very greasy and the fried eggs were a little too raw for me. Uncooked egg whites are not for me. My friend's omelette was on... More

Brasserie is always a win for me! I went for brunch most recently and had the duck confit and quinoa waffles, and they were fabulous. I brought two friends who had never been and they loved it as well and complimented the atmosphere. I will be back!

We were arriving while they were setting up high tea on a Sunday so the staff didn't really pay attention to any of the tables that were there. The food however was excellent, and this truly is a great place for brunch but don't get there before high teas or sadly your coffee will not be refilled.

Came in for dinner with my 2 little ones and husband for an evening meal while on holiday. The Service was great, the food home made and a nice ambience overall. The Kensington district of Calgary is full of quaint, trendy restaurants. The Brasserie Kensington was busy the night my wife and daughter stopped in but we found seating at the kitchen bar and were treated to "dinner and a show" as the chef said. The menu featured a casual fare as you would expect complimented with some tasty additions. I... More

a very inviting place with lots of wood, big open spaces and light. we were warmly greeted and seated immediately. we had our menus right away and the specials were explained right after the drink order was taken. The wine menu (by the glass) was varied and allowed us pair wines with the appetizers and the mains. The scotch egg... More

Came here to meet a friend for breakfast, the coffee was refilled often and the service was great. I had the salmon which was especially tasty and my friend had the duck and we both agreed that the salmon was better. Nice service and friendly atmosphere so I would come again

We are a twist on a European Brasserie, inspired by Chef's rustic, simple and down-to-earth approach to food and cooking. We are known for our duck, hanger steak, poutines and other hearty, comfort food housemade with fresh & local ingredients. Indulgence is always on the menu here, but so are lighter seasonal favourites, like our blackened salmon salad, whole roasted trout, or veggie burger. Our Saturday & Sunday brunch is always hopping, and if chef is in the kitchen he is usually cooking up outrageous features like 32oz steak and 8 eggs. Expect an eclectic and cozy décor, with everything from your grandmas old paintings to stuffed boar trophies.
