Great way to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Follows the concept of good company deserves great good. Their menu is based on sharable items to give you a great cross section of meats, pasta, great breads, etc. Prices are reasonable as well. Planning to go back next week when we return to Calgary.

My family and have been on their Saturday brunches. They have a great option that includes hot plates (bbq, omelettes, potatoes, vegetables, fishes), cold plates (variety of salami, cheese, ham, salad, salmon) and desserts and fruits, all you can eat, and all of eat for a reasonable price. Definitely a good choice for brunch in Calgary.

Want a beautiful night out for 2? Order this, and you won't be disappointed: Beet fries with decadent aioli, asparagus wrapped in Italian bacon, surf and turf (tenderloin & shrimp), any flatbread offering, and fresh fresh raspberry sorbet on chocolate wafers for dessert. I had wine. My partner had a non-alc. refreshing drink. We both had Americano coffee. Get this... More

Recently we stopped in to Tango as part of a progressive dinner at restaurants. Appetizers was this stop and there were many to choose from and so we ordered about five different ones. Each one was absolutely delicious - poutine, shrimp, beef tenderloin, baked brie - each of us commented on how good the flavors were. Wish we had planned... More

Very good food with reasonable pricing. I have only been there for lunch but every time I go I am very impressed with their three course lunch option. My friends say the mushroom soup is excellent and I loved the homemade chicken noodle! For the main I get the shaved prime rib sandwich. They have a nice selection of wines.... More

Ma Kettle and I attended Tango Bistro's lunch 'brunch' today. First time, and we weren't sure of the quality or even the price. It was a pig in a poke, we simply went on a whim. Not a bad choice, the brunch was $22.95 per person, and the offerings weren't overly extensive, but enough choices were available so all family... More

When you want a great breakfast buffet, head to Tango/ Smugglers Inn on a weekend. They use quality ingredients and are very consistent with the staple items. The wow is you get new items every week as well. There are always 2 types of eggs Benny... and the eggs are always perfect. If you prefer your egg hard poached, you... More

Visited this place with friends a couple of times. Never disappointed with savoury dishes. Try their beet fries and the pear and gorgonzola flat bread, they are amazing! I would eat them everyday if I can. Can't really comment on quality of the dessert. I had the dessert sampler there, the quality not as good as their savoury dishes. Go... More

Description
Smuggler's Inn originally began in 1967 as Bar X Steakhouse, an American company. The current owner, Frank Krowicki, bought out his partners and went to work developing a brand new concept to Calgary. His vision included a mix of casual, late night fine dining and live piano bar. Over the years, the building expanded around Smuggler's Inn, with the addition of Winelite dining room on the west side, and Backstreet lounge and dining room on the north side. As the dining scene in Calgary began to change, Frank too saw a need to change and adapt. The first endeavour was the conversion of Backstreet lounge to Open Sesame in 2000. Open Sesame has been serving fresh, Pan Asian cuisine to happy customers ever since. The conversion of Backstreet dining room to Bolero was complete in 2007. As Calgary's first Brazilian style steakhouse, Bolero continues to satisfy meat lovers with its unique and interactive style of dining. Our latest addition is Tango Bistro, on the west side of the building, which once was Winelite dining room. At Tango Bistro, we bring together delicious, hand crafted small plates and fantastic wine to create a casual atmosphere for all to enjoy. In May 2013, Smuggler's Inn celebrated 40 years of serving mouth-watering Alberta prime rib and steaks alongside many original items, which have made us famous around the world. Four restaurants under one roof keeps us busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way. And the rest, as they say, is history! Smuggler's Group Rewards is a unique program that rewards you every time you visit us. For every dollar you spend, you earn points towards FREE Loyalty Certificates from Smuggler's Group Of Restaurants. Whenever you make a purchase, simply present your Smuggler's Group Rewards Card. We will automatically track your purchases and assign points to your membership. For every 200 points you accumulate, you will accumulate, you will automatically receive a $10 loyalty certificate to redeem on your next visit. There is no charge or fee associated with the Smuggler's Group Rewards Program. Just fill out the application, turn it in to us, and start using it right away.
