Do not stay in this hotel. No one has taken care of this place in years. Our room was so small and ugly we left right away. Really a shame because the location very near lake louise is great. We have traveled all over europe and the states and this was by far the worst

Visited the Deer lodge restaurant quite a few times for breakfast, dinner and a few casual drinks. Service was very good and waiting times for meals was up to par.

Although the building was beautiful and very close to lake loiuse the rooms were very small and not up to normal Canadian standard

Since everyone goes to the Fairmont Lake Louise, which has excellent dining options, they often miss the historic lodge style restaurant of the Deer Lodge. You really feel you are in a country lake lodge hotel here, with period decor. The food and service are very good too.

In 2012 on our impromtu drive up to Lake Louise for the first time, I proposed to her and we had dinner that night here. Since then we have enjoyed many breakfasts and dinners here. The food is always special and we love the atmosphere. We will be back again!

The rooms are comfortable - but small and a bit austere (no TV - small bathrooms) for the price. Decent restaurant. 5 minute walk to Lake Louise and MUCH more affordable that the Fairmont Chateau.

Dinner was good but our server was very uninformed. Had to send martini back and had to return to kitchen to ask questions. Did not describe specials, etc. a little disappointing.

The elk tenderloin was my favorite meal of the trip. Most raved about the carribou, but my husband thought my elk was even better. For breakfast the wild meat hash was good. The elk sausage interesting,

Hello Donna Lynne, We are pleased your recent experience was awesome, and thank you for posting this review. The game meats do come from our very own game ranch! Thanks again. More

Presentation was beautiful but service was very slow and portions minuscule for the price. My son had lamb with couscous and I had roasted chicken with risotto. Vegetables were one spear of asparagus, half a small beet and half a small turnip. Dessert was the best part of the meal. I Recommend the pot de creme and espresso tiramisu.

Decent pub food in the lounge and patio. Main restaurant a little expensive. Service was a little slow but not too bad.
