Considering this tea house is up the top of a mountain trail with no electricity it does a great job - piping hot home made soup, lovely home made cake and sandwiches. The young people who work there have to trek up the same way...More

I didn't partake in this activity but my husband and daughter did and they were not impressed with the tea house. They were on horses and placed an order when they got there, paid and then never received their order before they left. They said...More

Its not only the destination...its also the journey.....and its a fantastic hike to the tea house. The tea house fits perfectly with the surroundings. We just wanted a snack before the return trip so the food suited us and was all we expected.

My wife and I visited Banff solely to take the hike to this teahouse. Tip- get an early morning start to beat the crowds. The teahouse gets 500 visitors on most summer days... It's about a mile flat walk around Lake Louise and then the...More

Hi, thanks for your review. This is the owner. We either pack in or fly in the "supplies" and then make everything there by hand on a propane stove. No electricity. Each day staff are making about 22 loaves of bread, 18 cakes, 300 bisquits......More

Get the water, not the koolaid. Wonderful and near miraculous spot at the end of a long hike. It's amazing what they do without electricity and transport!

Very authentic experience! This was one of the neatest establishments in Lake Louise. First off, you must hike 7km and up an elevation of 1500ft to get to this tea house. When you arrive, there are two levels of seating and the staff are incredible...More

The hike was amazing and the tea house was well worth it. Kind of pricey but when you think that everything is cooked over a propane stove and either flown in by helicopter or brought up the mountain in horseback it's actually pretty neat. A...More

We made the hike up to the tea house with an 8 year old. It took about an hour and half all up hill. It is strenuous for those who are not very "fit". The tea house was very crowded. I would recommend doing this...More

Did the hike up to the Glacier Tea House. Was a good hike that took maybe an hour and a half up (though it felt much longer than that!) and an hour down. Saw chipmunks and a porcupine along the way. Had to cross some...More

The hike is superb. We did it in a very cold day with snow flakes. The tea house is kind of a must stop for a break and something hot to eat. So the food there is not so important. On the other side, the...More

I understand it is normally scheduled to open the first weekend in June. However, there is a heavy snowpack this year, so the trail to the teahouse may still be snowed in. If not snowed in, certainly muddy. If yu decide... More
