I expected more of this place after reading the reviews. I had the Bill Peyto hamburger here, a poutine to share and soup. It all tasted okay, but nothing exceptional. I’ve had far better meals and hamburgers during my stay in Canada. Service was also average compared to the other places I’ve eaten during my holiday in the Canadian Rockies.

We stopped by here on a hiking trip and was recommended to us by a local girl. It was a rainy Monday and the place was busy. We waited about 15 min or so to get a table, however it was well worth the wait. Great food, fast service and a very cozy little Cafe in a Hostel. Try the... More

Expect to be in a que for 30 minutes during summer/peak months. Good selection of salads, open face sandwiches and pasta. Eclectic offerings and fresh ingredients salads. Heavy pine tables & chairs.

In Lake Louise every thing is expensive, but then there is this little gem hidden away by the hostle. Upmarket prices everywhere but at Bill Peyto's Cafe, here you can indulge yourself in cheap heavenly eats. Though we came at a very busy time, the service was friendly and we felt welcomed.

They also have good craft beer. I had the grass hopper which was very good. We order Thai stir fry, fish and chip and pasta Alfredo, which were all good. The chicken in coconut curry was so so.

Food is quite good, had the chilli pontine which was lovely and then the burgers which were okay. Beer was a good local tradional ale, so happy with that. The whole experience was unfortunately marred by one particular waitress, we had waited a while for a table and she indicated that we were next on a table for four to... More

We had dinner here last night. Arrived around eight were seated immediately, by very friendly staff. Our drink order was taken very quickly. The place was buzzing with all sort of tourists, we were camping others were staying at the hostel where the restaurant is located. Garret our waiter was great he has been there for three years. We ordered... More

They were upset at our arrival and couldn't barely be bothered to come to our table. It took a lot for me to not say anything. Go elsewhere unless you can accept kids who are working to live in Lake Louise and have no problem making sure you're aware of it.

A local suggested this place. It was a little hard to find, but we arrived just before the big dinner crowd, were seated immediately and server was attentive. I had spicy Cajun chicken quesadilla and hubby had a delicious Reuben sandwich. Serving sizes were quite large for the price. Huge crowd in line waiting for tables as we left. There... More

I love that this restaurant is inside a hostel. The vibe about the place is chilled out, family friendly, and down home. The food is good value and the pasta dishes include salad and a scoop of ice cream. The beer is cold, the art is vibrant, and the servers seem like they like their job. We got lucky and... More
