The cauliflower app wasn't as good as I had hoped, but the bison short ribs were fantastic. A nice restaurant in Banff for sure.

Ah, exceptional on every level. We enjoyed the rare perfect Sunday morning brunch at the Bison Terrace outdoor patio. The view, the music, the food, the coffee, the server, (Brit named Cathryn) provided one our finest experiences during our week in Alberta. Recommend the French Toast and Heurvos Rancheros. Prices were more than reasonable. 5 Stars.

Very much enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks on the upstairs rooftop dining area at Bison. We got a great spot overlooking the street and surrounding mountains. The food was very good, featuring a lot of (surprise!) bison, but many other locally sourced foods. The menu even gives you a map of all the farms that the foods come from.... More

I am a chef from Toronto and fussy. The food here was so locally driven. I loved the "really good" tomato flatbread. We also adored the bison ribeye...make sure you get it quite rare as it is so lean. The food changes but everything including creative wines and awesome service.

This restaurant was highly rated in things we read, but should only be rated as average. The restaurant is nicely appointed, and we enjoyed sitting outside with a great view of the mountains. Our waiter Andre was wonderful. The menu features some game and bison selections as expected. I had the bison short ribs and they were virtually tasteless, submerged... More

Really enjoyed our meal at the Bison. Rib sampler was very original, featuring Buffalo, Boar, Lamb and Beef. Great seafood, especially the scallops. Dessert was very good. Service was terrific. Dine out on the upper deck. Highly recommended.

Bison is a very pretty restaurant on the second floor, above the more casual Bear Street Tavern. We had a table with huge chairs and a nice view of the mountains. For our meal, my wife started with the peach salad and I had the Caesar salad. Everyone in our party ordered the steelhead trout, which was complemented by green... More

Get the garlic cheese bread starter. And the Big Bird pizza is great. Lots of TV screens inside to watch (and I'm not a TV person). Highly recommended.

Steak was undercooked and full of gristle. Same thing happened to a dining partner. Salad and dessert very OK but could not make up for the inedible entrée.

The Bison is one of our favorite 3-4 restaurants in Banff. We've eaten there more than five times. This time, we had short ribs and the duck entry. They were both excellent as was the service. We will return next August.
