We had breakfast here all but one day during our stay. It was located next to our hotel so was very convenient. The food was good and moderately priced. Service very nice.

We had breakfast here as the Red Carpet Inn didn't offer breakfast, and I am glad we did. Affordable and just what we were looking for- eggs, crispy potatoes and bacon, toast...a friendly waitress and a coffee cup that was topped up when it emptied. A good start to the day.

We had dinner there and because of feeling not very hungry, decided to share some Tapas. The waitress suggested the charcuterie plate for two. We had the fish broth as starter and it was delicious, followed by the platter. Small it was not. It was a delicious mix of cheese, meats, pickles, olives, guacomole and more. Followed by dessert (yes,... More

Great Chilean waitress who didn't hurry us and was charming. The toro platter pretty much filled us up - best calamari I've had in years, pate, cheese, parma ham, salad and lots of olives. filled up quickly so book to avoid disappointment. The stuffed mushroom was the only other dish we had room for ( as a couple ) and... More

We were staying nearby at a hotel that did not offer breakfast, so decided to eat here. We were very pleased with our meals and service. Did not try dinner, but highly recommend for a great breakfast!

Situated in a lovely building on Banff Avenue, we expected a lot more from El Toro. Among other things, they featured small plates. I ordered a scallop dish that sounded tasty. However, when it was served it smelled horrible. I had some bites and then feared I might get sick later on! I never did get sick so the best... More

We were there for breakfast at the heart of the season. We were the only table served. That tells it all. With all the positive reviews this joint received I must assume that the majority were from Hispanics. With all the wonderful breakfast eateries in Banff, this one should be avoided. Can't speak for dinner but after the horrible breakfast... More

My wife and I came in not long ago and fell in love with place. The staff were great. The atmosphere worked really well and the Mexican dishes were amazing and fresh.

We chose this restaurant for the tapas. Disappointing. For the price we paid we should've gone to the Keg and got steaks. The asparagus crostini, the shrimp in tequila sauce, the chicken penne were good. Grilled salad was raw, seafood ceviche was tasteless. Service was good.

Took family to this restaurant for a family meal as we wanted something different, the mix of spanish tapas and some mexican dishes as well as other tradition meals seemed an eclectic mix, the food was well served and good, Tapas was good, service seemed slow and unorganised as we had our water toped up by three different waiters all...
