We had an INCREDIBLE breakfast at the Primrose. There were four people in our party and each of us thoroughly enjoyed everything about our experience! The service was friendly and efficient. The food was amazing! The views, breathtaking. Thank you for a wonderful atmosphere!

It's a comfortable restaurant in with nice views, but the food is variable and average. Some dishes were great. Others pretentiously complicated. Service was very helpful and friendly.

We ate in Primrose restaurant on 2 of our 3 recent nights at Rimrock. On both occasions the service was impeccable and the food very tasty. The chocolate praline dessert was heavenly - I had it on both evenings!

Used this restaurant during our recent stay at the Rim Rock. Had all our breakfasts there. You can have the buffet or select from the a la carte. We had the buffet on all occasions. The buffet has a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt cheeses, cold meat, smoked salmon. The hot selection includes pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict, eggs florentine,... More

It's not really Italian, but ok. The staff were dare I say best service we've had in years. The steaks were fantastic. The halibut was a good portion but lacked a sauce. The desserts were fabulous. If you want upscale good in a formal environment, this is your place. Yes, it's in the hotel but... The eateries in town are... More

We ate breakfast here on our last morning, you can either do an hot buffet or a cold buffet or an A La Carte breakfast. We had the hot buffet which worked out to be the cheaper option for us. The food was lovely & a great selection The coffee was also lovely and our waitress was lovely & talked... More

The squid ink pasta & steak were excellent. My halibut was a bit dry. We loved the brunch too. The waitress set a full carafe of coffee on our table. When we left, she gave us cups to go. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was the best I've ever had.

Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you enjoyed our eggs benedict, only our Rimrock chefs know the secret recipe. Being able to take away some of our freshly brewed coffee is one of the ways we ensure you get a great start to your day in the Rockies. We hope to see you again soon More

How do you ruin a beautiful view of the mountainside? Serve it with overcooked eggs. How does a restaurant that advertises breakfast with a view overcooked eggs? My goodness - eggs over easy became eggs over very hard. Not an apology just 'I hope these are better'. Wow - disappointing! That was an expensive mistake. I will not go back,... More

In the Rimrock hotel just about mile out of Banff, beautiful views from any where in the restaurant . Good food and service. Had dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was smoked salmon, haddock and cream brûlée. Breakfast was a buffet with chef who made omelets.

I would not call this restaurant Italian. It is more modern fusion. I ordered a surf and turf style entrée and my partner had a fish entrée. Mine was veal, shrimp in a cream sauce, and a purple potato risotto. The veal was overcooked and the risotto was just weird. I thought the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The fish too... More
