I've been here twice this year and it's a nice, quiet little restaurant, especially if you are dining alone. The menu has a calorie count, which is a little unnerving! You order by using a menu with a sharpie and then the waitress brings it to your table. The waitress was very attentive with my waiter. The sushi here is... More

The food is very fresh and very good. But it's easy to spend a lot of money here. Portions are very small and all those tiny dishes add up. We spent $50 on lunch here the other day and were still hungry when we left the restaurant.

Ate here a couple of times. I enjoyed the food. The staff were so friendly. But it was weird how you ordered your food. Have the mark it on a laminated piece of paper. I mean it doesn't take away from the taste of the food. There wasn't a huge range of sushi. No bento boxes or anything. But I... More

Was pleased not to have to wait at all for a table by the window for lunch with my wife and kids in Banff. Just off the beaten path. The selection is fairly standard, and the quality was good, not spectacular. I didn't prefer the size and style of the signature rolls. Certainly reasonably priced.

There are not many hot food items offered but the sushi was very fresh and tasty. Waitresses were very friendly and the food came very quickly. The price is very reasonable.

I have dined at Sushi Bistro twice now since moving to Banff. Both times our hostess and waiter/waitress have been very pleasant and helpful. I have chosen Sushi Bistro over Sushi House because the prices are more reasonable. Before coming to Banff I would generally go to all you can eat sushi, but I enjoy the option of getting just... Fish was very fresh, tuna cones were good. My younger one ordered chicken teriyaki. It was a very small portion and didn't come with rice (what??), so we had to order that as well. Gyoza was ok, a bit too fried for my liking. The restaurant ran out of ramen for lunch, which was very disappointing considering it was a... More

We had dinner there the night before Canada Day. It wasn't too crowded and the service was attentive. The tempura is rather good, but they don't provide grated radish in the dashi the authentic Japanese way. The sashimi and raw fish are fresh, but a bit overpriced and in smaller pieces than in Calgary or Vancouver... The ramen isn't bad,... More

This would have been an excellent rating, but we waited ten minutes to be acknowledged at the door. There were no other customers waiting. Our patience paid off, the food was excellent and so was the service. I'd go back again, but I'd "gentle" flag someone down to be seated.

A quaint little eatery that features easy to order Sushi. The service was quick and the sushi was just what we needed. You can order as much or a little as you want. The sushi was tasty, we went back a 2nd time because it was so good.

Thank Don J
