Went for lunch. A bit busy but we reserved and came back in 20 minutes with our table waiting. We started with some gyoza and rice balls. Both were good but they have removed the umiboshi from the menu. The kids had udon and we had ramen. Great portions and flavour. The pork slices were a little over cooked but... More

The restaurant does not seat too many people at once, so make a reservation and come back. It is well worth the wait! You can stroll up and down Banff Avenue until your table is ready. Food is hot and tasty, and very reasonably priced.

Not bad considering it is the only ramen house in town, price is fair, taste is just so so,not worth to go back.

The wait to get a table here is often long, but the food is more than worth it. A meal is about $11-16 and for that you get a big plate or bowl of really great food. Highlights include the Ramen, Udon, and Curries. Service is good and food comes fast. Best for pairs or singles as the wait for... More

We live in Canmore, but are in Banff fairly often and generally its to go to Chaya. It's small, busy, and sometimes you're waiting for awhile to get a table but it's well worth it. Highly recommend the tan tan ramen (add dumplings!), or the Katsu curry. Our kids love the edamame, and share the miso soba. Easily our favorite... More

If you look for exotic flavors in the Greater Jasper Banff National Park Area, Chaya is your place! It s a tiny little restaurant in Banff's main street offering traditional soup noodles and sushi rolls in a wide variety. Make sure to make a reservation, as this family restaurant attracts large crowds which can lead to long queues on Banff... More

Im having Wanton Noodle soup today. Its a little pricey but the taste is really good. The store location is really small. You have to wait for 5 to 10 mins for your food

The dish I ordered ran out. I have to get my second choice. So I can not give 5 star. Rice dish I got was better than noodle dish others ordered. The noodle soup was pretty salty. Nothing special but very busy and crowded. Half hour wait is normal. It is well priced.

The place was packed as it had only 16 seats. We had been spoilt by a trip to Tokyo in April this year. We had ramen which was average. We also had beef don with an egg. All in all it was good enough for a lunch in Banff. Price was reasonable.

What a nice surprise. The restaurant is small & seems family run. It has a lovely, friendly ambience. The service was prompt & courteous. The ramen was really delicious. I had the Tan Tan ramen, which was a peanut base & it was great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place & look forward to returning.
