We checked this place out in April while on a ski trip. This time, staying nearby (RV'ing) and hiking the local trails, we went there for supper. Without a reservation, they offered to seat us at 5 p.m., giving us just time for a pint by the fireplace to reflect on our day outside. We began with a shared plate:... More

By dumb luck we booked these cabins. They are not quite to Lake Louise which was a blessing. Lake Louise is so small and crowded. Then, to be lucky enough to have such amazing food in a cabin setting was just what we look for in a vacation experience. This place is a gem!

We loved our meal at Storm Mountain Lodge. There is a limited selection, but our dinners were made with care and attention. We enjoyed our cider and wine selections and passed the time with some artisan bread. Some may feel the serving size is small, but each bite was heavenly and we had enough room to enjoy the trio of... More

We were driving west from Banff and stopped for dinner, and got far more than we expected. The lodge is old, unpretentious, and charming right down to the creaking floorboards. The service was friendly and impeccable, and the food was heavenly. If you are looking for Hungry Jack portions after a day on the trails, go elsewhere. If you want... More

Fantastic stay, cozy and welcoming. Would return in a heartbeat. Clean cabins, friendly staff, gorgeous main lodge and outstanding food. World class dining in the mountains, what more could you ask for??

We stopped in for lunch on the way to BC. The food and service were excellent! My husband has the bison burger and I had the open faced sandwich. Highly recommend stopping in.

We spent a couple of nights at the lodge. Our cabin was comfortable, with both radiators and wood log burning fire. Breakfast and dinners were all very good quality, staff friendly. Our only complaints are: (1) cabin floor was completely covered in soot which we noticed when getting in to bed with dirty feet. Asked front desk for it to... More

Surprise stop by my husband led to our discovery of this mountainside delight. Not only is the lodge rustic and inviting, the staff is warm and welcoming. Hubby and I shared the charcuterie platter and glass of vino...just divine!! We have travelled passed this roadside lodge regularly en route to and from our BC cabin, and now I am happy... More

Having driven past Storm Mountain Lodge over the past several years, we decided to stop on Christmas Eve. It turned out to be a hidden gem that we won't be driving past anymore and in fact just recently stopped again two weeks ago. It is only open on the weekends in winter and seven days a week during the summer... More

We ate there Feb. 2016. Dinner selection was small but the food was terrific. The menu had game on it (elk, bison, etc). Our dinners (bison tenderloin and elk osso bucco) were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and served with lovely fresh veggies. The crisp for dessert and appetizers were really tasty. The ambience in this log cabin lodge on Hwy... More
