The pub lives up to it's ratings. We ate on a very busy Friday evening and the staff were not only very efficient but pleasant and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent with one or two original features including warm olives which were fantastic. After a very pleasant evening we were having difficulty getting a taxi when... More

Have been a few times before. There is a good selection on the menu and the food always tastes great. In my opinion it is one of the best places to eat on the Island! Would recommend booking because it gets quite busy. If vising in the summer and you prefer to sit outside then there is a nice veranda... More

Overheard someone talking about this place and went by chance. We had to sit in the garden as they were so busy but both the inside areas and garden are lovely. The service was friendly and welcoming and they had a great selection of real ales and wines. The food was outstanding - some carefully combined flavours which were very... More

Great food, great staff and good value. Must visit for anyone visiting or living on the island. Rob and Rachel welcome everyone and the signature dish of Newchurch Pie is a stonker.

A 'must' to visit if you love superb food in a charming old pub. Book to be sure of a seat, as this is a very popular venue for visitors and locals. The menu is lovely, fresh local produce, beautifully cooked and presented. Friendly knowledgeable staff provide that extra star.

Came here on a Tuesday evening ,thinking it would be a bit quieter, but as always it was really busy, which is always a good sign, we managed to get a table in the garden which was very pleasant. We had the mixed grill, and would honestly say it's probably 1 of the best if not the best on the... More

The Pointer Inn came recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. Lovely friendly place and the food is tremendous. The menu gives a choice of sizes on some of the meals - normal or smaller. Bear in mind that the normal portions are on the large side. I thought this was an excellent idea. A normal... More

Went here on recommendation and was not disappointed, after eating out for 5 days this was the star of week. We enjoyed a beautiful meal with the kids menu supplying plenty of choice, the puds were a delight and all washed down with some proper cask ale, there was a great atmosphere to the place and I'm sure a lot...
