This is a typical sports bar and caters very well. The staff were great but my draught ESB was not of very good quality at all. It was not clear and had a strange taste like it was the first one of the day and...it had been in the pipes all night. The place lacked character as well and is not really my kind of pub but is popular and seems to be well run but I think the cellar management could be improved.More

Thank you for your review. We do take great pride in our cask ales and we take your comments on board as something certainly could have been done to improve your experience.
Hungry after a trek round DFS so popped in here for lunch.
First impression was it's not particularly inviting, appearing like a "local's pub" with annoying gambling machines and TVs hung on every wall. After finding the food seating area and looking at the menu...we weren't sure if we'd stay but then saw food coming out the kitchen and decided to give it a go.
The menu was basic but reasonably priced. When it came to the table the plates were well filled and the food was very hot - no standing about waiting for service. It was delicious, all 4 of us enjoyed our meals.
Staff were very friendly.
So despite the outside appearance and locals hanging about the bar I would be happy to recommend it as somewhere to go if you want cheap but tasty grub.More

Went in on a Saturday afternoon and ordered baguettes. They were just about closed for food but were happy to make them and they were really good. Nice, friendly people, very reasonable prices. Would definitely go back

Can’t fault this pub, lovely welcoming staff and very good service. Drinks are what you would expect to find in any decent pub!
Live music is the best part of the pub! With Karaoke and live bands Friday and Saturday night it’s very good!
Visited after being in the wetherspoons next door. My wife had a small bottle of prosecco and that cost twice as much as the same drink next door. Staff did say it was expensive , so were fair. Staff were polite. Pub has great spaces...- the bar area, sports screen etc. Not a bad place but must be hard to compete having a spoons next door.More

Thank you very much for your lovely review. With regard to evening food, we are a very small franchised kitchen with limited resources and unfortunately there is a lot of local much bigger food houses around us. We are also very much a live venue...More
Nice enough pub, a bit noisy with lots of TVs.
Seems to want to look like a gastro pub, but it really fails on multiple scores.
The food was good enough, but they couldn’t give us a receipt from the till for the food, only...for the drinks. I ended up with four different recipts in three
different formats, let’s see how I submit that for expenses.
