The restaurant reopened less than two weeks ago, due to the COVID 19 quarantine, and everything was excellent: food, service and ambiance. A definite must for anyone in the area.

I have been eating and ordering take out from nicksan for several years Yesterday we placed our usual order: 2 fried rice, lobster, tuna with cilantro sauce and 3 different makis They forgot 1 fried rice and when you grt home and find that your...take away is missing something it is always frustrating. The same happened the last time we ordered. But mistakes happen and we can understand. This time however the lobster was like gum and there was no sauce just gooey rubber lobster. For 3 orders of makis they gave us 3 small pieces of ginger and 2 extra small containers of wasabi enough for half one order (see pictures) I usually order only 2 makis and pay around 1000 pesos for the orders, this time it was 1300 minus one rice. There are several sushi restaurants in the area and nicksan is definitely the most expensive. We go there because it is good Nevertheless if you do take out it should be the same as in house as the price is the same. The last 2 times have been disappointing and I will not return I really felt ripped off this time.More

Best sushi in the nuevo vallarta area. The balance in flavors is great, never overpowering. The restaurant is located in a nice quiet area. Great place for couples or group of friends.

I am not a big fan of Japanese and was not thrilled about dinner at a sushi place. Nicksan made me a believer! The serranito and sushi with curry (can't remember the name) where amazing. Could improve a bit on the service but certainly nothing...that ruins your evening. I highly recommend it.More

We had several sushi dishes that were very good and fresh. Some were on the spicy side so if you don’t like or can’t tolerate spicy food I would definitely ask about the spice level before ordering. Personally I like spicy food and felt the...spice level was good not to hot where you can’t taste the food. Also had the Gorgonzola shrimp which were excellent. They have a sushi bar you can sit at or a very nice dining area. Service was fast and friendlyMore

Dear Brian, Thanks for the great review! The Gorgonzola shrimp is one of my favorites on the menu, as you like spicy food, next time try our infamous spicy tuna, you'll love it! We hope you'll be back soon.

Went for our daughter’s birthday because she loves sushi. She enjoyed all her sushi and especially the cucumber salad. We are not big fans of ‘raw ‘so we had tempura and teriyaki which was pretty good. But what's with the price of wine!, 150 pesos...a glass of mediocre Chardonnay. We didn’t see a wine list and were told that was the only white wine they had by the glass. Didn’t expect it to be so expensive.More

This was a great experience. The food was just amazing we loved 5 out of 5 dishes! The service was also quick, and professional. We loved the cucumber salad and the chasoba was very tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the shrimp Gorgonzola as I...just do not like cheese on my shrimp. Even the cappuccino with a little chocolate tempura was an unexpected surprise. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the many other selections on the menuMore

Been there once. Paid cash as we had a cupo city coupon for most of the meal except for the tip. Too common in Vallarta for restaurants to say their credit card machine is broken because they do not want to pay the fee. No... More
