We are read about this place for years but never managed to visit until this time. It is a pretty place - open and spacious. They were doing some repairs at the time we were there. Service was good but the waitress had no English and we have very little Spanish. Normally this is not a problem but as the... More

We had the Chile Relleno picadillo and the Chile Relleno with huitlacoche (it’s a corn fungus that is a local delicacy. It tastes better than it sounds.) On a Friday night they had an excellent entertainer singing Mexican ballads. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant atmosphere is homey and unpretentious. Great value for the money.

It took maybe 15 min walking down a nondescript street on a drizzly evening to reach Ah Que Nanishe from the main square. I was rewarded with dinner in an welcoming and attractive family run place with lots of interesting choices on the menu. My dinner was stuffed peppers - one with huitlacoche & one with squash blossoms--liked it just... More

I love Oaxacan mole. Had that for lunch with sopitas, a COLIMA favorite. Ordered food for eating on our hotel terrace for dinner. HMM. Good and inexpensive as well as centrally located near the zocalo.

I ate here several times, and it was always a special occasion. Wonderful Oaxacan food. Lots to see in the restaurant, as they have an odd collection of art and artifacts displayed. This is a special place. I have seen several large family groups celebrating First Communions, Marriages, and probably a few divorces. It isn't a party place, it is... More

It can easily be reviewed as average if you are looking for high end gourmet restaurant, but if what you're looking for is a taste of real homemade Mexican cuisine this is a very good chooice.

This is by far the best restaurant in Colima the food is incredible and even though the place is very unpretentious the service is formidable. Try the tamales oaxaqueños or the mole negro!! You will not regret it!!

Because I love Oaxacan food, I brought a group of 19 to this restaurant on a Manzanillo cruise port day. The atmosphere was quaint, the seating large enough to easily accomodate all of us and a lot more, the service was fairly quick, and the prices were fair. The owner seemed anxious to please us, and immediately took a couple... More
