Absolutely fantastic! The staff were great. The service was great and the food sublime. The menu is the perfect mix of everything traditional Yucatan. We ordered one of each from the appetizer section and then an entree. The flavors of each dish were amazing. Distinct and perfectly balanced. There was not one thing I did not enjoy. I highly recommend... More

It is crowded so Mexicans seem to love it. Some stuff simply looks a bit strange yet the taste is okay. Probably Yucatán authentic.

The Mayan dishes taste very original. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and can be very crowded since it is a popular place. I had the pan de canon and that was excellent. The portions of tequila and mezcal are very large. The prices are very modest indeed.

I loved the food here!! While visiting Aguascalientes we ate here three times. Each time the food was amazing. We tried many different plates offered on the menu and we were delighted each time. The service was great despite how crowded the restaurant was each time. Obviously this is a popular place. I highly recommend eating here. It is a... More

When this place is crowded it takes forever to get a table, I attribute this to Mexican's keenness for 'sobremesa' which is a period that you take after dinner to just have a conversation. Anyway, once you take your seat you can start by ordering a nice cold beer, or even better, a delicious agua de horchata! From there I'd... More

Came here with a family group . Nicely situated by a pleasant park and church. Easy parking in streets nearby. Interior decor nice and staff moderately attentive. Chairs and tables a bit sticky. We had the 'plato mixto' and it was very enjoyable. Seems a popular place too so locals also like to come for the mayan flavours. Worth a... More

I had spent over a week in Aguascalientes before my friends took me here. I learned that the ancestor of the Mexican foods I love are Yacatan/Mayan in origin. The salsas, tacos, toquitos, and more were so flavorful, that I wish I had access to this restaraunt at least once a week, for forever.

It's open when La Mestiza is closed and conversely. So, good for dinner. Good mexican food. Had no major problem. Private parking available in some next street.

Everytime I have been to the Rincon Maya I walk away wanting more. Not only is it a restaurant with a great reputation and tradition, but a true institution in the city. Located on one of the most quaint squares of the city, across from the recently refurbished and highly recommended Museo Posada and the Iglesia del Encino (with its... More

While the restaurant wasn't full, or because of this, we were seated quickly at our table of choice and attended to promptly. Meals were quite tasty and seemed to be home cooked. The "sopa de limon" was exceptional as were the Pollo Pibil (chicken cooked in banana leaves) and the tomales stuffed with eggs (vegetarian) main courses we ate. It... More
