All reviews caesar salad oysters rockefeller mussels mahi mahi new york strip seafood bread steak pork the owner dining experience upscale restaurant sorbet to cleanse beautiful restaurant special dinner quality of food table side
Fantastic cuisine, and high quality service we had our anniversary dinner here, and absolutely loved it. Amazing food and service. I highly recommend the restaurant as a special anniversary location or anything special you would like to celebrate.
My husband and I went to this Resturant for the 4th time. The food is a 10+ and the service is untouchable. The owner came over and he was a very nice man and even shared a recipe with me. They start out with homemade...breads and a fantastic dip. The shrimp was crisp and juicy, my. husband has octopus he said it was outstanding. We had a Cesar salad which they made at the table and was perfect!
I highly recommend this Resturant which is also beautiful. They have indoor and outdoor seating and air conditioning . It sits on a marina which is so pretty.More
My friend Lynn and I went to celebrate Presidents win...although we could have found any number of reasons to go!
All the Coronavirus stops are in place and then some......more than any other local restaurant. Add that to Pelican Point Point being the most beautiful...restaurant in town and all there is the left is the food. Ahhhh the food! Definately two cuts above.
Lynn had a twice weekly special of soup or a hefty salad and the filet mignon, rib eye or new york strip with al the trimmings
I had a delicious and hefty portion ( a meal in itself) of mussels in white wine sauce and garlic and followed it with the most delicious tuna tataki.....by far the best in town, and I have tried them all because I love it.
I should add that they will social distance you on purpose, not even on request.
So I can only write once a month but e decided to return at least twice a month if not more....those specials also have my name on them
Congratulations Guillermo and JulietteMore
While in town for business, I visited the Pelican Point on two occasions for dinner and can absolutely, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, perfect service, and the highest quality dining in town!
The restaurant is tucked away just a few...steps from the touristy area of Puerto Aventuras. It's isolation sets the mood perfectly to create a feeling of escaping to an exclusive upscale tropical island. The lighting, decoration, music and staff all combine to create a very elegant, but yet still relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. There are three different areas; the patio overlooking the boats and activity in the harbour, the palapa roofed restaurant with an open kitchen, and the modern air-conditioned bar/lounge. Off to the side of the building is an incredible koi pond with the biggest fish you've ever seen and the nicest bathrooms in PA!
During Covid, all local restaurants have a strict sanitization process. However, the staff at the Pelican Point took this very seriously and went above and beyond the basics inspiring me with confidence that they really cared about their guest's safety.
The menu is very diverse with lots of fresh seafood, pasta and meats. Plus, their chefs are very willing to take special requests for anyone who has unique dietary needs. Not being a huge seafood lover I ended up choosing the Pasta Carbonara one night and the Ribs another night. Both were yum, yum, yum! Absolutely perfect! The little fresh baked buns that arrived before the meal were an unexpected and tasty surprise. The portions were definitely large enough to satisfy without being excessive or wasteful. Pricing is more than fair for what they provide. Although it is a very high quality upscale restaurant, it is not formal in any way. Dress code is relaxed and I felt comfortable wearing the standard resort dinner attire of a golf shirt and dress shorts. At the same time, it is also classy enough that it would be the perfect venue for dressing up and celebrating a special occasion.
Overall, the Pelican Point is an intimate, gorgeous restaurant perfect for ordering fancy bar drinks or a nice bottle of wine, sipping, relaxing, savouring... enjoying life, wonderful dining and the company of loved ones.More
This is by far the best restaurant in Puerto Aventuras. Decor, Service and menu. Plus quality of food. But their preparedness for the pandemic post reopening knocks all the rest of town into the marina
You are stopped by a brilliant blue rope from entering....One at a time you step onto the shoe cleaner, get spray sanitized, have your temp taken and are givenPurcell and then your group is led to your bare table. Our group of three, all masked as was the staff with additional visorswas given an outdoor table for six. The waitress wiped off the table and set it. Guillermo our host had some mod con that he held to you phone and voila! The menu appeared. Mine didn’t so he had a huge menu although l know it by ❤️
The mussels in wine and garlic were to die for as was my lobster, The others had Cesar Salad and Mahi Mahi and copious amounts ( careful) were had by all!
If you want to keep the bill down, don’t drink so much!!!!
My first meal out since March 13 and only place I knew l would trust. Pelican Point should be at the top of the list not buried in it because of one disgruntled review on first page. Shame on yo Trip Advisor!!!!!More
My wife and I ate there twice a week for 2 1/2 months and each meal was outstanding! The mommy shrimp, Mahi Mahi captains special was so creamy, swordfish was outstanding, and the bourbon pork was to die for. Please make a reservation so they...know you are coming and will be prepared for you. It will cut the wait time and you can get a table by the Marina. We had another couple join us for three weeks and they highly recommend this place. If you want a dining experience and not just food then go here!! Rick and GailMore
Pelican Point is the most elegant restaurant in Puerto Aventuras. It has the best food and being on the marina, you can see boats and pelicans instead of dolp
Jesse Gelato has the best Gelato but it is NOT a restaurant and Bamboo is great...and my favorite coffee and sweet breads place...probably our best, with a fabulous owner Stella who makes me smile every morning, but again, not a full service restaurant.
I had dinner at PP last week and it was delicious. Mine was a jumbo Boston Shrimp Cocktail with fresh horseradish sauce and one guest had Mommy shrimp and loved it and the other had fish. They are locals and agree this is the best food in tow. We all had delicious desserts.
Oh, PP also has the best and ONLY professional service here.More
My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and although we found all the food was good, we waited for our special dinner date for pp. Was not disappointed. As a chef who has cooked all over Canada and Europe, it was great to have...a meal prepared with great ingredients and top notch service. Owner was awesome and we are returning in march with our kids and mother's and we will be taking them there.More
