This is a beautiful European style restaurant, right on the water, but a little away from the main dolphinarium. Everything is made to order, so be prepared to linger, the food is excellent, particularly the Oysters Rockefeller and the Caesar salad made at table side, they change the silverware with every course and give you sorbet to cleanse your pallet. The service is impeccable and it has lovely ambience, - cash only come prepared.

While in town for business, I visited the Pelican Point on two occasions for dinner and can absolutely, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, perfect service, and the highest quality dining in town!
The restaurant is tucked away just a few steps from the touristy area of Puerto Aventuras. It's isolation sets the mood perfectly to create a feeling of escaping to an exclusive upscale tropical island. The lighting, decoration, music and staff all combine to create a very elegant, but yet still relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. There are three different areas; the patio overlooking the boats and activity in the harbour, the palapa roofed restaurant with an open kitchen, and the modern air-conditioned bar/lounge. Off to the side of the building is an incredible koi pond with the biggest fish you've ever seen and the nicest bathrooms in PA!
During Covid, all local restaurants have a strict sanitization process. However, the staff at the Pelican Point took this very seriously and went above and beyond the basics inspiring me with confidence that they really cared about their guest's safety.
The menu is very diverse with lots of fresh seafood, pasta and meats. Plus, their chefs are very willing to take special requests for anyone who has unique dietary needs. Not being a huge seafood lover I ended up choosing the Pasta Carbonara one night and the Ribs another night. Both were yum, yum, yum! Absolutely perfect! The little fresh baked buns that arrived before the meal were an unexpected and tasty surprise. The portions were definitely large enough to satisfy without being excessive or wasteful. Pricing is more than fair for what they provide. Although it is a very high quality upscale restaurant, it is not formal in any way. Dress code is relaxed and I felt comfortable wearing the standard resort dinner attire of a golf shirt and dress shorts. At the same time, it is also classy enough that it would be the perfect venue for dressing up and celebrating a special occasion.
Overall, the Pelican Point is an intimate, gorgeous restaurant perfect for ordering fancy bar drinks or a nice bottle of wine, sipping, relaxing, savouring... enjoying life, wonderful dining and the company of loved ones.

We were staying at the Dreams hotel and the restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We saw the place in the daytime and it didn’t look much but night time it is a different place! The atmosphere was chilled, relaxed and it was a lovely place to have an evening meal. We went on a Wednesday, steak night special, 35 US dollars for a drink, starter and steak. Great value for money, the owner came out and talked to us and was mingling with other customers. Definitely recommend a visit!

The food was decent HOWEVER!!! It seems the owner likes to serve the regular customers first it seems. We arrived at 7:30 and didn’t leave until 10:30. We waited almost 2 hours for our appetizers, then after 2 1/2 hours they notified us that they no longer have any more filet steaks. Once our New York steaks arrived they were all well done. The owner came to our table after and made excuse after excuse about our experience. We weren’t offered any apology or anything. I’m not one to write negative reviews but had to on this one. Won’t be back at this place!!!!

5 years ago we stayed in an all inclusive so didn’t use this restaurant but saw it was always busy and seemed like a special night out destination so had high hopes
The first impression was good with welcome nibbles of the most delicious warm fresh mini dough balls and dips!!!
We chose steak because it was special night
Tough, overcooked meat, cold accompaniment of potato. The potato was sliced in small portion with sauce over
Heads up for some the soup starters are sweet but that is a bit of a theme for area
A drink was included in special and that was all we had because we weren’t offered anything else
It took a long time to pay and we were put down by a waitress who was assisting serving a tossed salad when we asked for bill,check...
She said not now even though we’d asked previously
No idea why 2 people need to do a salad at table
She was rude
What appeared to be the owner/cook came around tables and he was charming but if his specialty is front of house then he needs to employ a chef and manager for the staff
I’m not sure this place will exist when we visit next
They shouldn’t rely on tourists who don’t return and expect a new batch to not care about standards
They have a residential area which they should be able to entice regulars from!

My wife and I ate there twice a week for 2 1/2 months and each meal was outstanding! The mommy shrimp, Mahi Mahi captains special was so creamy, swordfish was outstanding, and the bourbon pork was to die for. Please make a reservation so they know you are coming and will be prepared for you. It will cut the wait time and you can get a table by the Marina. We had another couple join us for three weeks and they highly recommend this place. If you want a dining experience and not just food then go here!! Rick and Gail

My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and although we found all the food was good, we waited for our special dinner date for pp. Was not disappointed. As a chef who has cooked all over Canada and Europe, it was great to have a meal prepared with great ingredients and top notch service. Owner was awesome and we are returning in march with our kids and mother's and we will be taking them there.

Whilst spending 8 days in Puerto Aventuras we tried many of the best restaurants. There are many good options but, standing out far and above the rest, was Pelican Point. After being warmly welcomed by Guillermo, the host and owner, he brought refreshments and proceeded to explain the fresh fare and preparation. He is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and left us, mouths watering, wanting one of everything.
We started with the delicious Caesar Salad for two, made tableside. Next we had two of the three fresh catch entrees, Wahoo and Grouper. These dishes, prepared as recommended by Guillermo, were exceptional. There were also excellent shellfish and meat / poultry choices on his extensive menu. Excellent bar with a great wine and cocktail selection.
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. Great ambience with marina views. Highly recommend Pelican Point as one of your finest dinner choices in PA!

Pelican Point is the most elegant restaurant in Puerto Aventuras. It has the best food and being on the marina, you can see boats and pelicans instead of dolp
Jesse Gelato has the best Gelato but it is NOT a restaurant and Bamboo is great and my favorite coffee and sweet breads place...probably our best, with a fabulous owner Stella who makes me smile every morning, but again, not a full service restaurant.
I had dinner at PP last week and it was delicious. Mine was a jumbo Boston Shrimp Cocktail with fresh horseradish sauce and one guest had Mommy shrimp and loved it and the other had fish. They are locals and agree this is the best food in tow. We all had delicious desserts.
Oh, PP also has the best and ONLY professional service here.

Wonderful, tasteful, and romatic ambience with a beautiful bar, indoor, and outdoor dining spaces. The food was all fresh and delicious! We had Lobster and seared ahi tuna which were both very fresh and deliciously prepared. The wines were also very good. My wife had Pinot Noir and I had Montepulciano. Guillermo, the chef and owner was delightful, very charming, and made us feel special and comfortable.

We were staying at all inclusive resort but as this restaurant was Quay side and I'm a fish fan thought we would get the freshest sea food in the area
We were not disappointed
My wife had the scallops for starter and she raved about them I had the shrimp cocktail which was fantastic
Mains were sea and earth steak was cooked to perfection and fish was delicious.
My wife had chicken which he thoroughly enjoyed
Guiermo advised he would.make me the best mayan coffee and boy did he deliver.
The restaurant is lovely inside surprisingly spacious with an air conditioned area should you choose
We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed our evening
Will definitely be back when we return

This is by far the best restaurant in Puerto Aventuras. Decor, Service and menu. Plus quality of food. But their preparedness for the pandemic post reopening knocks all the rest of town into the marina
You are stopped by a brilliant blue rope from entering. One at a time you step onto the shoe cleaner, get spray sanitized, have your temp taken and are givenPurcell and then your group is led to your bare table. Our group of three, all masked as was the staff with additional visorswas given an outdoor table for six. The waitress wiped off the table and set it. Guillermo our host had some mod con that he held to you phone and voila! The menu appeared. Mine didn’t so he had a huge menu although l know it by ❤️
The mussels in wine and garlic were to die for as was my lobster, The others had Cesar Salad and Mahi Mahi and copious amounts ( careful) were had by all!
If you want to keep the bill down, don’t drink so much!!!!
My first meal out since March 13 and only place I knew l would trust. Pelican Point should be at the top of the list not buried in it because of one disgruntled review on first page. Shame on yo Trip Advisor!!!!!

We were staying in a resort down the road and took a walk down the marina when we saw this place. It’s right by the water and is really pretty. The owner (im so sorry I can’t remember his name!) saw how hot my partner was and straight away went to get us a fan which he appreciated a lot!! We ordered a Caesar salad to start with and the waiter came and made the dressing from scratch in front of our table and it tasted so good! We had the cowboy and ribeye for mains both of which were lovely as well. The pina colada was also huge btw if you love a cocktail. Would definitely recommend this place, worth a walk down the marina to find it!

We have stayed in Puerto Aventuras several times this past winter and dined in many restaurants around the Marina. Pelican Point remains a strong favorite of ours. The surroundings with its peaceful atmosphere are beautifully decorated and quite romantic. We always see couples dining, and all look quite happy to be there and pleased with their dining experience. Majola looks to be in charge, and she’s done a wonderful job training the waiters and waitresses. They provide impeccable service, very accommodating and not intrusive. The menu is quite broad with beef entries and lots of seafood options. We had Wahoo one night, delicious, well prepared, and approved by my husband, a fisherman. We love their tuna appetizers and especially their Caesar salad, prepared table side. Pelican Point is a delightful fine dining experience and is highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience. Guillermo is the consummate host. He gave us a very thorough and helpful explanation of the menu, and made us several custom margaritas that were BY FAR the best we have had in a week in Puerta Avventuras. The tableside service was wonderful,, the food was excellent. Definitely the best place we've eaten in Puerta Avventuras - BY FAR. Definitely the place to go if you want a nice dinner in Puerta Avventuras.
