The pandemic has hit hard and tourism is barely peeking again. The waiters are cordial and evidently glad that things are looking up. My family and I visited here despite we were in an AI and boy were we glad we did! AI tends to...have terrible seafood despite we're near the sea, so if you want good, local seafood, forget your AI and step out at least once. My husband and I ate the family seafood platter, which is plenty. While it has lots of interesting options, I would have liked to try the other dishes since I'm not crazy about crab (there was one) and the lobster was way too little (we thought it wasn't lobster but crawfish until one of the taxi drivers told us that they were fishing tiny lobtsters). We also ordered octopus (delicious) and fish and shrimp tacos (double delicous!) besides "pescadillas" which are wonderful fried fish tacos that tastes fantastic. Drinks were quite good. For a family of four, the check came to $1400 pesos aprox with gratuity included (that's about $70 USD). Great spot.More

We were just at the El Tiburon de la Costa with family and had the coconut shrimp, seafood platter, and the chicken tacos. Although the service was fine, this restaurant really did not impress us that much. Decor is very plain and the place was...empty for a Friday night dinner. It is "out of the way" from the main Ixtapa restaurant area - but not that tough to find. The food was good but nothing to really rave about. I would not discourage you from trying the restaurant but don't expect to be "that" impressed. Prices, however, really seemed quite inexpensive as the portions are generous. Perhaps this is what people love about the place.More

Fun evening with friends. Location great. Decor plain but the seafoods makes up for anything lacking on that end. Just go and enjoy 😊

My husband and I ate dinner here this evening. Possibly some of the best fresh fish ever! Place was not crowded, got a nice outdoor table, casual and pleasant ambience. Our server, Mingo, was super friendly and helpful. Seriously ask for him if you go!!...My husband had a whole snapper (mine was deboned/filleted) and cooked perfectly with a fantastic seasoning rub all over. The house salsa & chips were great, as was the pico de gallo. He also had a ceviche to start with that he loved and many other people in the restaurant also were getting at their tables. There are lots of places to try while we are here, but I would seriously go back tomorrow.More

While the hotels are filled with all you can eat buffets, sometimes you just need to venture out and try the local cuisine. After asking around for who has the best lobster in the area the locals would recommend this location. As soon as the...taxi dropped us off we could tell it would be a great spot with a huge shark outside the building. When we walked inside a local musician was singing and the the decor was authentic. We ordered the ceviche, the coctel de camaron and the lobster made our way. All three were amazing. The only bad thing was the flies but it’s an open air restaurant so it’s not really their fault. I would definitely come back to the restaurant.More

Is about 15' by taxi. Take the one in San Jose Ixtapa. We never had a reservation and were allways able to get a table. Depends on party size I suppose.
