My family had a wonderful dinner at Blue Shrimp. This place did not disappoint! The Ixtapa Shrimp meal was the best meal I've had in some time! The staff was extremely friendly, service was perfect and the margaritas were awesome. If you are in Ixtapa you have to have a meal here. In the last four days we've had the... More

This is an excellent and tourist friendly restaurant. I had their chilequiles con huevos for breakfast twice. Best ever! I also ate dinner there once and had the chile rellenos stuffed with shrimp. Reasonable prices and good food.

The staff spoke English and were funny. The place was full but they never made you feel unwanted. The coconut shrimp was over cooked, but they made ma sauce/dip from mango and coconut that made it easier to eat. The bathroom is not handicap accessible.

We stayed at an all inclusive resort.but walked across the street and ate here twice. The coconut shrimp were so big I could only eat four of seven. My husband ate one the bell boy got the other two. He was a very happy guy.

We decided to go out for supper but had heard mixed reviews of Blue Shrimp. We went on a Wednesday night around 730 pm and found we were the only ones in restaurant and were a little worried. The waiter a young guy named Daniel was very friendly introduced himself and we learned a lot about the restaurant and himself... More

We stopped and had lunch here one afternoon while shopping at the market. It is a small restaurant that is big on good food, good drinks and fine service.

Every time we walked by it was busy, so we finally gave it a try and are we glad we did, it's our new favourite restaurant in Ixtapa. Wife liked the little kids coming around (their cute she says), I got a little tired after the 8th or 9th time. Wife had Coconut Shrimp with fresh mango sauce (199 pesos)... More

Six of us ate at The Blue Shrimp during our visit. It was rather busy when we were there. It took quite a while to get our food and we were repeatedly hounded by the young and old alike to buy their goods and services. But we did get all of our entrees at the same time, even though a... More

We went here with a group of about a dozen people. Of course the check(s) were split four ways with people not sitting together, so the waiter had a challenge from the start and surprisingly he got it all straight. The food was to everyones liking and the bacon wrapped shrimp was said to be the best ever. Service up... More
