While we prefer Zihuatanejo to Ixtapa, we decided to venture out and try Bistro Solaiado one evening. We were favorably impressed. While the menu was in Spanish, the owner graciously translated for us and recognized that some times of the year Americans are rare in the area! The food was good, the service quite good, and the cost was reasonable.... More

Although we've been going to Ixtapa for many years, we only discovered this restaurant last February. It's now high on our list of must go places. The atmosphere is romantic and the food was wonderful. Prices are reasonable. You will want to make reservations for sure. They get very busy. Will be booking our 2017 trip soon and can't wait... We had a nice meal at this restaurant, it is rather casual place looking out onto the street (it is open air). I had the grilled tuna and my husband had the pasta. It was very good and pretty reasonably priced. Was not very busy but June is low time for visitors to Ixtapa.

Great morning stop for breakfast with open air (fans) seating. Had several nice medium priced lunches also. Really good guacamole.

We have had dinner there on our last two trips to Ixtapa. Good service, the food was very good on both occasions and the wine list, while limited when we were there, offered some good options. It had a relaxed atmosphere even when full and we were able to take our time over drinks and our meal. Will be going... More

LOVED THIS PLACE! It is open, beautifully lit up but with mood lighting. All the tables have a wine bottle and glasses on it. The atomsphere was very romantic. I could have sat there all night. The food was delicious. I had the cheese manicotti and my boyfriend had a chicken dish which he said was delicious. I would highly... More

Wow- in the two years I hadn't been here, they sure have gotten a lot busier! You now need a reservation for supper service. Food is delicious, and although portions are not as large as they once were here, they are still on the upper end of reasonable. The tuna steak is amazing. We went here for breakfast many times... Be sure to make a reservation on weekends during high season. They start with complimentary bread. We ordered the pate for an appetizer and it was VERY dry. Maybe is was the heel or end of the pate? The pickles and mustard with the pate were nice. The nicoise salad was good. The mussels were over cooked but the fries... More
