Good vibe...a little bit hidden...cheap and relaxed. Try the chilaquiles verdes con huevos and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy

Dan along with his ex Carmen owned the famous el Cafecito together, and now he has his own place a block and a half away. Same great food and service. He is located directly behind the huge new hotel being built on the beach.

I had the entomatadas which were a bit bland and my brother had the fish burger which was also so so. Really extensive menu with friendly service and great atmosphere. We played table tennis there for a good hour after we'd finished eating

Dan's is a cute place with great breakfast food. The pancakes are great and they have American-style bacon, nicely cooked. Also, the potatoes are actually a bit crispy--unusual--Mexican breakfast potatoes are usually pallid and soft. However, in a town of surly waiters, two of the waiters here (the one guy and then one of the young women) are basically nasty.... More

Dans is a very welcome fairly small, quaint neighborhood restaurant. Pancakes with strawberries are great! As just about all their food! Service is always great, prompt and pleasant!

We only had breakfast here once during our week in Puerto Escondido, mainly because our hotel was on the other side of town, but it was delicious. Relaxing atmosphere. One other day we went by after a yoga class and saw that they had piano live music....we wished we had time to stop again!

Food very good, friendly staff, entrance right from Casa Dans or the street. Open for breakfast and lunch, good selection and willing to accommodate special needs or wants. Also most speak English.

We happened to eat here before we read the 'Best of Puerto Escondido' list but I have to say that the breakfast is pretty darn good. There are great Mexican dishes here and mine was great. Chips, beans, chicken.... Sorry, I can't remember the name of it but it was good. Hubby had the surfers special and the pancakes were... More

My wife and I traveled the Oaxacan Coast for 15 days. On our last day there, we had breakfast at Dan's, and I decided fish tacos would be a fitting last meal. Dan's tacos were as good or better than any I had the entire trip. Everything coming out of the kitchen, which was right in front of us, looked... More
