There are a ton of beach club spots in La Punta, but we kept coming back to Xcaanda because of the fun, friendly staff. Though they all pretty much offer similar experiences, this one had craft cocktails and pretty gourmet snacks. Try out the guacamole!

Good place to eat and drink in the lounge chairs (they are not the best in the area), however they have a good variety of dishes and good seasoning. I've been there a couple of times this week and I'm leaving satisfied. It is a very visited area without being crowded

Last year Xcaanda had one of the best French toast breakfasts I’ve ever had. Couldn’t wait to eat there again. Unfortunately, this morning the French toast and my wife’s waffle were literally inedible. The French toast consisted of one piece of incredibly dry bread that seemed like it hadn’t actually been put in a pan or griddle to cook. It was cold. The waffle was too tough to chew - like a toaster waffle gone bad. To top it off, it took over an hour to get the food. Our fresh orange juice came in a glass with as much ice as juice. When I spoke to the manager there was little empathy - just, “We’re really busy”. They only charged us for the OJ and we left. What happened to this place?

I don't wish to be unfair, and I normally only write good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not good and we would not recommend this restaurant. The location is good, right by the water. However, the food left MUCH to be desired. The chips with the guacamole were stale, the fries overly seasoned, and most aggregriously the fish in the fish tacos was very bad. I'm not sure if it was old or just poor quality, but it was not possible to eat. When we informed the restaurant of this, they were very dismissive. So, if that is your thing, then pay their high prices for poor food then go ahead. Or, head to one of the many of the wonderful eating establishments in PE with all the same views and enjoy fresh and flavorful food. You won't get it here.

Terrible service, so many other much better places in Puerto. :) Do yourselves a favor and go anywhere else. For example dinner across the street at Lychee, drinks Savanna, take you own stuff to the beach 🏖

We booked a table for the night for a stag do which cost a fair bit of money. Upon entering the club they told us that we had to pay a cover to which we very appalled by.
You would expect that securing a table with some 10 guys who were going to drink a lot, that the cover would be waved, however, not here sadly.
As a result we had one guy who couldn’t get into the club as the bouncers had an issue with him even though he did absolutely nothing wrong and in addition to this the service from staff was shocking.
No common sense sadly as if we had a waiter near by we would have spent (and drunk) a lot more.
Overall not a good experience at all and certainly will not be returning!

Horrible neighbors to the Zicatela community. They play loud music until 3 am sometimes 5 am. There are tons of hotels right across the street from their window rattling noise. Any other bars or restaurants are completely overtaken with the loud music coming from this place. Hotels can’t offer a place to sleep and other bars and restaurants can’t offer a place with their own atmosphere. It ruined our entire stay in Puerto Escondido this year. They are destroying local hotel and restaurant business and the entire Zicatela vibe. It is entirely selfish and inconsiderate to run their business this way. Do not support them.

The food here is not worth the journey, even if you’re staying just across the road! Pretty limited selection, done badly. Nothing seemed even approaching freshly prepared. Lots of much better (and cheaper) places locally.

The very nice place in front of the beach, pet-friendly. Their mescaline called dream is very delicious.
I was guided by the good reviews, which is the best thing about Zicatela, but the service was very, very slow. I ordered a shrimp broth that took 45 minutes to arrive. Just like some wings
Unfortunately I was very hungry and had to wait.
I would not go back. I would look for another option.

I came to party and the place is amazing and the atmosphere super fun! The music is varied. Excellent option to dance to the rhythm of the waves. You can have table with stipulated consumptions both in track and beach area. You can order cupola on either bar! The care has improved a lot since I last came! Definitely the best place to dance and party in hidden harbour

It's an amazing restaurant. I did my wedding proposal there at the sunset. All the stuff supported me a lot. The atmosphere was breathtaking with this view. The food is so delicious. Its a must do we you stay in puerto escondido. Have a dinner or drinks an watch the sunset. Its our favorite restaurant there.
