This is a lively and beautiful location on the beach. The music is pumping and gets louder each song throughout the evening to the point all of the area is consumed by its rhythm.
Our meal was prepared with style, but beware this is gastronomy fusion and what you get is not what is explained well by the menu or services. Between the loud music and difficult menu I would try to eat somewhere else with all the options in town.
On the other hand if your interested in a surprise/excellently prepared meal and a party atmosphere this is the place.

This place is very nice and very affordable! The food is pretty good, I loved the steak tacos here even thought they looked pretty simple. they were really good seasoned. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back here for the tacos and drinks! :)

Loved the experience here, the drinks were one of the best I’ve had in Mexico. Very strong and the music was great vibes. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant is awful! We ordered a Hawaiian pizza thinking it would have fresh pineapple and yummy ham that we have had at other local restaurants….NO. Gross crust and canned pineapple with processed ham. DO NOT eat here.

Went here because of the great reviews but we were disappointed. The drinks were okay but the food wasn't very impressive. The atmosphere was good but we left hungry after an unsatisfying dinner (tacos and burger). The street tacos close by where 100 times better.

Rip off on new years. Never come here to eat. Terrible service, also super slow service on the beach always. I’m out. Come here if you want to overpay or get robbed

I'd heard of this happening to quite a few people so be warned. In the evenings, when it is busy, when you give a big note to the bar staff (especially the bar on the beach) - Open it wide and say the amount you are giving to them.
I had only 500 notes on me. I gave a 500 for some drinks for friends. No change ever came back and they were pretty much ignoring me. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting before we started to flag staff down.
They denied I have given them 500, that I only gave 200. The thing is I only had 500 notes on me AND even if I did give a 200 they never brought my change back from the 200! They money had been pocketed.
Sure, Xcaanda may only allow one person to 'handle' the money at the till but the issue is the money is not making it to that person. After much back and forth by my friends who spoke perfect Spanish they agreed to give some drinks, but nowhere near the value of 500.
I enjoyed xCaanda for the 3 months I was in Puerto and i'd heard of this happening quite often - seems those reports are indeed true.

The music is a great , service is friendly, tacos are amazing, drinks are popping ! With a place like this next to our hotel, it’s safe to say I will be coming back here for a great time and great memories. Btw the Snapchat’s and Instagram stories will be great to post haha !

The place has a lot variety in term of drinks and the tacos are a must to try. It was my first restaurant that I went at Puerto Escondido and it didn’t disappoint. I’ll be returning here on my next trip.

This place is empty for a reason. Drinks are ok but the food is awful...greasy and flavourless. It’s all way overpriced. Avoid it.
