The Plough at Duloe is a great combination of a local pub with great food that also offers a warm welcome to anyone who walks through the door. On a busy Thursday night, (reservations strongly recommended) we were welcomed by Lousia, one of the owners. We enjoyed a sumptuous meal: fresh whitebait, a glorious fish pie, a whole plaice. The... Called in without a reservation and with a dog this was no problem to the very pleasant lady who showed us to our table in the dog friendly area. The menu was varied and our choice of food was well cooked

Our first visit and we chose the fish pie, my partners had plenty of potato however mine had hardly any. Unfortunately you could only taste the cheese and not the fish - what a shame.

have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and our latest visit last Friday was no exception. Warmly welcomed by the staff, we arrived rather early before our reserved time but this was no problem. Choice of both specials and the main menu was very tempting. we requested some extras to the menu and again that was not a... More

When there's only one pub in the village you're staying in you can only hope it's going to be a good one, and the Plough in Duloe proved to be excellent. Well-kept ales, a decent choice of quaffable wines by the glass, and a very varied menu. Something for everyone!

The atmosphere was great - we were a late evening booking on 10 September - the service, the pub and the food were all excellent. All in our party were more than pleased with their servings. Staff very attentive and we were not rushed. We had a taxi booked for 11.30 pm and none of the waiting staff were looking... More

We traveled to The Plough for my daughters 18th birthday. We traveled 52 miles as she wanted to go here as visited it a few years ago when on holidaying in Looe. We all loved it that much we didn't mind going back that distance again. We did actually visit Newquay for the day then stopped here on way back.... More

We booked our table a week before arrival because I researched the area and knew that the Plough is a very popular venue. First, it is well presented and very clean. Second, it is very dog friendly (thanks!) Third, the service was swift, friendly and professional; big thumbs up! Finally, the food was delicious. We ordered the scallops followed by... More

First of all this is 95% restaurant 5% pub so don't expect to sit and have a relaxing drink as part of your walk. It's a lovely traditional stone floor old building with a bar and two stools as far as I could see for non eaters. We ordered the battered fish and chips for us both from the excellent... More

Staying in HPB Duloe Manor just down the road, we visited The Plough on our final evening for dinner. Had the excellent fish pie (plenty of fish with nice brown top) and sausages and mash. Both cooked to perfection. We were told the fish pie would take 35 mins to prepare so sat outside with a glass of wine to... More
