Oh my goodness! Had a table booked last night and opted for the steak sharer which included the steak a choice of potato side (fries/potatoes/ mash), 3 sides, sauce and a bottle of wine and my goodness, it was incredible! Definitely recommend and will definitely...be back for moreMore

I'm local to this pub and new to the area. Looks very inviting. Love the cosy atmosphere indoors and that they had a play area for kids. This is no longer there from what I understand. Not had a proper meal there but seen the...roast dinners come out and they looked amazing. We have had some chips which were a great portion size and very tasty. Love the board games you can help yourself to and the open fire. However saying all the above I dont go there anymore really as my drink of choice is prosecco. When I realised they charged £8.20 for a small bottle I was gob smacked and refuse to pay that price. This is a shame as i did really enjoy the pubMore

Very impressed with the new set up and the social distancing. Hand sanitizer every where including just out side toilet. May have had some inside but not some where I want to visit when out! It was the first week of the government incentive to...eat out deal Mon- Wed. I could see staff sanitizing tables as we wait to be seated, this was done as diners left. I was nervous eating out but seeing this all in place and observing staff ect I felt reassure it was as safe as could be. The wait for our food was ridiculous but we remained patient as you could see staff were all under pressure trying to remain calm, they were so busy with out side diners too and only 2 chefs on due to social distancing. So I take my hat off to them even though they waiting time was about an hour, We will be back as they truely have every thing in place. Thank you for making us feel safe. Xx Great job. XxMore

Turned up as i was passing for a pint and a bite to eat. Made myself known to the staff and said is it ok to sit outside on the decking area which they said ok. It took 35 minutes after several attempts to get...them to come and take my order. Waited another 30 minutes and not even a glimmer of my drink to arrive. Other tables which had 3 or 4 on who ordered after me were being served their drinks. That was the last straw, so i upped and left.More

We went to the Wyvern this Monday evening. Great food, very attentive staff & hosts. Always a good choice of beer too. Fully compliant with current regulations, can't fault it. Will definitely be returning soon.

Really disappointed with our evening at The Wyvern. Total lack of organisation. No details taken for track and trace. We ordered food and drinks in the garden and waited for 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When we chased up at the bar our...waitress informed us that our drinks order had been lost. We then waited for 2 hours for our food. During this time the waitress asked what we had ordered 3 times and tried to give us the bill twice even though we had not received our meal. Lots of people waiting for food for a very long time. Bad attitude of staff who didn't seem to know what they were doing, putting food down at the wrong tables, no menus, people had to wait for the menu to be printed. No apologies they just keep blaming Boris Johnson!More

Had lunch here today. First time since lock down and it was a great experience. Management and staff greeted us and explained how things worked. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. We ate outside on the new decking and it was refreshing to eat...in a non smoking outside space. Thank you!More
