We were at Reine end of February and beginning of March. Not many restaurants were open. We were glad to find this restaurant and loved the food. The service was good considering just one person to take care ordering, cashier, waiter..

Ok, first things first: We saw the Northern Lights while eating dinner at Gammelbua! So this rating is quite biased... This was possibly our best day during our amazing 1-week vacation in Norway. We started at Svolvaer, took the bus to the Viking Museum which...More

I went there a few days ago and although you might think being the best in a village where there are not so many choices it is not only the best among the options but it certainly is a very good restaurant for any more...More

We ate here twice when staying at the Rorbuer. The food was delicious but the prices like everywhere in Norway are so high and made worse as the exchange rate for our pounds is currently so low! Everywhere in Norway we were paying about £30...More

It’s expensive, yes, however, it’s Norway. The food was good, I would even say really good. Though, that’s it. The interior is not that nice, service ok, but not special. The window tables seemed to be reserved for hotel guests who came in (without reservation)...More

Pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. I had the moose steak, and my bf had the vegan burger and both were quite good, lots of flavor. We splurged to get desert and the chia seed and cappuccino mousse were both delicious.

Make no mistake, this restaurant is not cheap. Our meal there was designed to be the "big meal" of our visit to Norway and we weren't disappointed. The entrée of cod tongues (who knew cod have tongues?) and scallops was delicious. My companion thoroughly enjoyed...More

My family and I ate dinner here on our recent trip to Reine. The food reflected the local culture and was served up with a modern culinary style. Everything was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helped guide our choices. It's a good thing because...More

The stockfish (pictured) and reindeer are delicious! Deserts are creative and wonderful. Prices are... Norwegian, but not higher than places offering bad food. Service is kind and attentionate - one waiter even speaks excellent French. Highly recommended.

A revelation! The stockfish was divine, the roasted potatoes delectable! And the coffee mousse to finish the meal ever so light. The service was attentive. Altogether a lovely lunch.
