we came really late to the restaurant after a hike. It was fully booked at the time but the staff went out of their way to find a table for us, it was very nice of them. They were smiling and welcoming despite the incredible amount of work they had.
The food was absolutely delicious, we had the fish soup, the catch of the day and beef cheeks as well as crème brulée. All very well prepared and presented, I would absolutely recommend it.
The wine was also excellent and fairly priced (which is not often the case in Norway).
I would absolutely recommend eating there!

After a very warm welcome the owner made my wife a special cocktail which was not on the menu and we had an amazing diner experience. The food was very nice as I went for the Mexican meals and my wife went for the fish. Both meals were very tasteful.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is very good, almost felt like when we’re with family, open and respectful but with a lot of humour.
If you are in the neighbourhood I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
The price is not cheap, but after learning that the spices and tortillas are coming from Mexico it makes sense that the costs of the food is higher as you pay for the authentic taste of Mexico.
For us it was well worth it!

We had two amazing meals here it was such a welcome change from the typical Norwegian fare - which isn’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but when you’re from California you miss those flavors while on vacation. The restaurant is tucked back in Hamnoy on the water with beautiful views. The food is spot on, salsa, tacos, salad, guacamole, ceviche, reindeer, vegan options, margaritas etc we’re all so yummy! The restaurant is family run and they could not be friendlier or more accommodating. We loved it so much we ate here twice. They are new to town and I truly hope they succeed because it is well deserved!

The food taste isn't compatible with the expensive price: We ordered salmon and it is not fully cooked. Suggest restaurant to allow customers choose medium well or rare etc. Flavor is also too strong for people would like a light meal. The parking place is also very small and we have to wait for others to come out.

Unfortunately this restaurant was very disappointing and did not live up to its reviews.
The appetizer with pork belly and guacamole was very good but the tacos were terrible!
The pork tacos were so very greasy there was a big pool of it on the plate and they dripped grease when trying to eat them.
The taco shells on the shrimp tacos were so soggy they couldn’t be picked up, I just ate the filling with a fork.
The service was friendly but very slow and the wrong tacos were brought out so the order had to be re-made.

This restaurant has great service and an excellent atmosphere. We started with the guacamole as an appetizer. For the main course, my husband ordered two tacos and I had the catch of the day (cod with potatoes and veggies). The food was pretty good but we felt it was overpriced for the small portions. In total, the appetizer plus two meals and one cocktail cost us 915,00 NOK which came out to about $85 USD. Not worth it in our opinion but staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had dinner here twice during our visit to Reine. Chef Sauro is a creative and talented cook and whipped up a tasty vegetarian meal for me that was not on the menu. It was a welcome change from mediocre pizza and vegetarian burger options in Northern Norway. The staff is warm and welcoming and make you feel like visiting friends and not just customers.

The food on Lofoten is generally excellent even outstanding but the culinary range is perhaps a little narrow.
It was good to see something different in the form of a Mexican restaurant.
Well signposted, the building is tucked away but findable and with lots of parking. The exterior is just another Norwegian building. The interior is this wonderful Mexican cantina- colourful, quirky and inviting. This probably sums up the staff too.
Eating here will be an experience.
The all important food is authentic Mexican. It is light, vibrant and zesty. We sampled the menu quite widely and every dish delighted. Food is complemented with a wide range of the usual and traditional drinks. In doubt what to order? Just ask your wait-staff and they provide any expert guidance needed.
Underhuset is a special place and a definite highlight of any trip to Lofoten.

The menu is quite small. 3 main dishes , 2 starters and 2 desserts available. Ate a full course. We did take salmon an carpaccio as starters, then fish of the day and beef and then icecream and creme brulee. All where very good and tasty. Size of the portitions are ok, but not huge. Service was fast and friendly.

Good Mexican food in Europe has been difficult to find-this restaurant nails it! Authentic and so so tasty. Al pastor tacos-so good I wish I ordered more to go. They also were flexible in making my partner vegetarian tacos and they were equally delicious. Do not miss this place!!

We ordered 2 boards of tortillas, and asked about the quantity and what he recommended;
it was super he said but when we were to pay he said there had been enough for 2 in a board.

We went here to have a nice change up from fish soup , cod, and deer. . We were craving some Mexican and although it is not cheap , entrees were $45. It was all very fresh and delicious! We had salmon and fresh veggies with mole rosa sauce. Excellent ! And beef ribs & veges with the negro mole (chocolate essence ) sauce. . Also excellent. Everything homemade. Starters were around $20 with lots of fresh choices. Great pulled pork tacos. Shrimp tacos. Asada. Guac. Shrimp ceviche. Chicken soup. Definately would go back. Cool ambiance in an old fisherman’s house. Young modern vibe. Great tunes!

The food was very good, and the host is very friendly. He did his best to accommodate for the food restrictions (very good improvised vegan 🌮). The space is nicely decorated and welcoming, with a nice view to the river.
Additionally, it was open on Sunday evening, a rare finding ☺️

Chosen for one of the various dinners in Lofoten, it was a great surprise to find quality Mexican cuisine with good products. All in a nice location and with very friendly staff. A must try when you want to escape from Norwegian cuisine.

After a rainy day and a hot shower we were surprised by this cozy Mexican restaurant between the Norwegian fjords. We received a warm welcome that suits Spain more than the Lofoten.
