We were wandering about Morelia and decided it was time for dinner. This place seemed well rated, so we tried it out. I did not have high expectations for Cuban food in Mexico, but it was really very good. I was quite pleased. The place...itself is fairly basic, and service was reasonable. We'd return.More

This is a cute place that serves average Cuban food. The vaca frita was tough, the pork was tender but not very savory and the ropa vieja was too tomato based and salty. The tostones were too thin. The congri, white rice and black beans...were very good. The server was very attentive. This is a good change of pace for Morelia.More

We were recommended this restaurant and were glad we went. It was early for dinner and we were the only ones in there and we took a chance. The food was delicious and the service great. We will return.

Incredible Cuban food. Fast friendly service and a touch of simplicity (for example they stamp the dessert menu on the table cloth made out of craft paper). We will come again... that’s for sure.

We were enjoying an aimless walk one afternoon in Morelia when we stumbled across La Plazuela Restaurante Cubano, located not far from the Bosque park and very near the small Jardin de Heroes 1847. In the afternoon a gentleman in the restaurant suggested that we...return for dinner and try their tasting menu, El Banquete, which costs a very modest 210 pesos each. We did. We were thrilled will a table full of dishes, 4 types of croquettes, a lovely greed salad with dried cranberries and orange segments, a delicious preparation of tilapia fillet, classic ropa vieja (a meat dish shredded to look like torn clothes), some other meat dishes plus rice and back beans. Along with a robust chilean cab sav/merlot this was a meal fit for a Castro! As well, the table was covered in paper and we were provided with crayons with which to entertain ourselves waiting for our dinner. A quick 50 peso cab ride from the main square. Muy sabrosa!More

i have been to this restaurant for a family dinner so we ordered food to share. They bring all different kinds of food plates including fish, chicken and pork dishes. There is also rice and vegetables. I have to mention the chimichurri explicitly. In Mexico...it is something you can't find in every other restaurant. I was so happy that they have it there and it was very tasty.More

Both the breakfast and afternoon/evening menus are well designed and executed. On our current trip we have visited several times. The food is excellent and the portions are generous (but not supersized). Service is professional and discrete. Salads are a good option for lighter appetites....The decor has an enjoyable ambiance during the day and during the evening. Note: this restaurant adds a 10% service charge. If you want to leave more (as we did), you should clarify your intentions when paying.More

Well, we've eaten there twice so far and probably will return again. Good food at good prices and good service. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
