If you want to have lunch or dinner in Morelia at the top end of the typical traveler's budget, I recommend La Azotea. We dined at La Azotea twice, both for a mid-afternoon lunch (I believe the same menu is used in the evening). At both visits, the food and service were excellent. Views of the cathedral/Madero are fantastic. Bar,... More

We went there for breakfast on a Sunday morning when Madero was closed for foot traffic without cars or buses, a great way to get the families out every Sunday to enjoy el Centro . The view from the place is great. It's one of the historic buildings converted to a hotel and restaurant !

The view is just spectacular! This place is fancy with prices that are average for an American sit-down restaurant. Bar was lively and the duck dish that the waiter recommended us was excellent. Salmon was a little more "char-broiled" than I would have liked so I wouldnt order that again but I would definitely return!

During our staying in the city, we looked the place from the street, and decided to get inside. It would be better if you book before, but luckily we got a table, cos the restaurant was crowded. The view is incredible, and the dishes were very good prepared.

Had lunch there, the ceviche is absolutely delicious. The service is fast and courteous. Very reasonable prices, and the view is spectacular! A must when visiting Morelia.

We have been going to los juaninos for several years. This time we hadn't been though in a couple of years and several things on the menu had changed. Nevertheless the food and the service continue to be very good. The bar for cocktails has a good vibe and looks out over the flood lit buildings of the city centre.

Best location in downtown Morelia. Good food. Colonial atmosphere. Price is ok. The view in the terrace at night is great, as you can see the cathedral just in front of the hotel.

La Azotea is rated on the top list of Morelia's restaurants. The food is very good, with excellent service and good ambience. We've been at breakfast and dinner and always were very pleased. The views of morelia's Cathedral is awesome!!!!
