The seafood platter was lovely - tasted good, plenty of food and quick service, especially considering the restaurant was so busy. The location is also great.

Every year we visit Suffolk, and always make sure we head Essex to Mersea Island for a visit, with this place being the highlight. We love the oysters here and all the seafood we've had. It's always busy, but the staff are so efficient and...More

Popular venue, food good. Can get overwhelmingly busy. Toilet facilities totally inadequate for such a busy place.

Would just like to say had another amazing meal here, took friends from Kettering who were impressed. The crab chowder was superb as was the sharing platter. The staff were extremely busy, but very attentive and cheerful. Will defiantly be back again and again.

We travelled from North London thinking this was much better than it was. We're familiar with its Oyster clients; The Ivy, J.Sheekey etc. so thought this should be really good; like one of those places that looks rough around the edges, but the food is...More
