We had a private cooking class at Los Tamarindos and it was beyond amazing. When we arrived we were given a tour and then were taken to the garden to pick herbs and produce for our meal. We cooked an incredible 4 course meal including...homemade salsas, lobster Chile reyenos, shrimp ceviche and mango tamales. Not only did all the food taste amazing but the staff was incredible. They took so many photos and emailed them to us after. Also would recommend purchasing a bottle of wine from their cellar to drink throughout the class. Could not recommend the experience more!More

Despite a hiccup with our reservation (they lost their book of business for the weekend so no one had the right reservation), the staff adapted quickly and were able to accommodate our group. The property was beautiful. We got a tour of the garden and...picked some of our own ingredients for the meal prep. Recipes were easy (fish vera cruz, chili relleno, cevice, guacamole) and they took pictures and sent email with recipes to make at home. Cocktails were delicious. Overall a lovely, relaxing experience. Have done classes at neighboring restaurants that are more expensive and probably more challenging/interesting for a seasoned chef. Would come to Tamarindos again with the caveat that you need to be sure to call the day before (don't email) to confirm. Particularly if you have dietary restrictions.More

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We went for lunch on a Monday afternoon as we didn’t want to try and navigate the road after dark. And I was very grateful for that. It is true what you’ve heard about this place...- you will think you’re getting lost driving there. It doesn’t seem like you’re going the right way at all - dirt roads, dry riverbeds, a wandering cow. But trust your GPS, the directions that you can download from the website, and look for the Los Tamarindos signs posted along the road. The property is beautiful. The staff is friendly. If you’re unsure of what you want to drink, ask them and they’ll recommend something (the Tamarind margarita was fantastic.) The decor is eclectic and original. The food is amazing. (Jicama Tortilla Shrimp Tacos, Vegetable and Hummus, pasta with shrimp, Baked Cauliflower. My mom would be so proud of us for eating our veggies, but it’s not hard to do when Los Tamarindos makes it so yummy.More

10min away from the San José marina, it is my go to place after a day at sea. The real farm-to-table experience where Jorge Sheridan (Manager) and Enrique Silva (Chef & Owner) will make you feel right at home with a superb service and simple,...yet exquisite Baja cuisine. The last time I was there they were kind enough to serve a dorado I had just caught at sea, while spoiling my dog Hector with a great selection from the barbeque. If you invite Enrique over to the table, he will give you a masterclass in mezcal while toasting with his own production, labeled La Venia.More

Great location. Excellent staff and service. Helping with the cooking was more cutting herbs andchopping onions. Not really hands-on cooking. The flies were a bother doing a dinner. . Overall for the price you could probably get a very good dinner for two meals.ALDO and...the chef were very helpful. My expectations were more for a cooking class.More

What a wonderful experience! We were warmly welcomed and offered a refreshing beverage before touring the grounds and gathering herbs and such for our dinner. The staff was so much fun to work with and provided so helpful tips and insight. Cocktails featuring ingredients from...the farm were fantastic and dinner was delicious (Chile Relleno w/ Lobster, Veracruz Fish (red snapper), Cilantro Rice and a yummy tamarind dessert wrapped in banana leaves)!More

If you have never been on one of Cabo’s remote dirt roads, you’re missing out on one of the true local experiences. At Tamarindos, you’re treated like family. We started with one of their specialty margaritas, I had the tamarind. Our server Aldo brought a...tamarind bean for me to try the taste. They make the margaritas from this bean. While everyone at our table had a salad, I had the octopus starter. The flavors were amazing, served on farm grown arugula. The only change I would have asked for would be that it be grilled less. The main dishes we had at the table were the Cornish game hen, The catch of the day which was red snapper, and their homemade pasta with homemade pesto and shrimp. All the dishes were excellent. The homemade pasta is made with the fresh eggs from the farm, they are delicate and super tasty! To finish off we had their most excellent homemade chocolate ice cream on chard brownies. I definitely recommend you get that one! After dinner the head waiter Ernesto took us to the rooftop to see the sunset and over see the property, SPECTACULAR!! Then we went to the bar where Domingo let us taste their private label mescal with a tasting lesson. Their GM George let us go the the farm to pick fresh mangos which we had this morning for breakfast, YUM! If you go to Tamarindos, be sure to set aside time to enjoy the experience.More
