Excellent Baja seafood restaurant. All the Dishes we ordered were delicious especially the Octopus and Augachile. Restaurant has beautiful and modern decor. Service was good too. This will definitely be one of our top go to restaurants in Cabo.

I read the reviews and they were spot on. the cocktails are delicious and creative. They started with an amuse bouche of tomato shrimp broth with a hint of spice and it was quite savory. The food was so good and interestingly different. The KFC...taco was so good we ordered another one and it came with two tortilla. The bone marrow and octopus taco was sublime. don't worry about the grilled cauliflower, just okay. The tiraditos came so pack with fish it is hard to believe they can serve it for that price. YOu can pay triple at other places for a so so meal. This place is a winner. Outside (yes next to a road so some road noise, but not that bad). If you are not sure about an item, scan tripadvisor and ask them. they are good representations of the dishes. Please go and support this great chef and team.More

I came for a cold beverage and stayed for dinner. They teased me with a variety of sauces and chips and this cream soup which was made of seafood broth, chilis and maybe creamed vegetables. It was so good I asked for a dinner menu....SO delicious! I have discovered a disadvantage of traveling solo, you cannot try as many items. The vegan cauliflower ceviche was amazing. It was so crisp and flavorful. I also had the octopus carpaccio which was a new one for me. The menu said it came topped with arugula but in fact was substituted with shaved fennel. It was out of this world delicious. To solve my problem of so few items I will likely hit this place up again tomorrow night.More

Wow, what a wonderful surprise! We were planning on going to Centro but Mar de Fondo was closer to our condo. The portions are generous and it was all excellent. Tiradiro, seared tuna, seafood Cocteau and cauliflower ceviche were all well prepared. Great cocktails and...the service was the best.More

I came here finally after driving by it on multiple trips to Cabo and I am glad I did, not only is the food fantastic but a lot of the the drinks are special recipes and are very tasty (they also have a ton of...regular drinks too, full bar), the food was just as good as I thought it might be, I’m so full right now, but it was totally worth it! My waiter Rodrigo was awesome and we had some great conversations, (I’m a talker so I appreciate that), The Chef Arturo a lot of the recipes are his own creations too. The place is right off the main road in San Jose, so its pretty close or a short ride here. My husband and I went on a an adventure to try a seafood Mexican restaurant in San Jose del Cabo. Mar de Fondo is a fresh local seafood that offers a menu with an exotic Mexican twist. For appetizers we ordered the smoked clams with...fire- melted cheeses. The cocktails were delicious and strong, a margarita and a cucumber Mezcal drink. The main courses were octopus al pastor tacos and tostadas de octopus and shrimp, both were delicious. Located right across the street from Walmart, Don't let the location fool you. An unexpected treat in SJD. An amazing mix of atmosphere, service and food. But let's just be honest here, the food is the star. Star amongst stars. Each and every bite was pure heaven. And put together, the experience was intoxicating. I could go on...about everything from the appetizer and main courses we shared (everything is quite sharable and a really nice experience), but I'd say the highlight was the Octopus and Bone Marrow Taco. The portion was huge, the taste in terms of taste buds and texturally was perfectly in harmony. Presentation fantastic as well. Beyond that Rodrigo was a perfect host for the experience. The food was delicious me and my wife ate here 3 times in a week. Friendly staff English speaking which is not a must but it’s a plus. Rodrigo remembered my peanut allergy which was very awesome when I came back. If you are in...the area it would be a sin not to eat here. Manuel was awesome as well very good service.More
