A great place away from hustle & bustle of Can San Lucas and close to the hotel district in Cabo San Jose. Several in our group had the coconut shrimp with mango sauce. Huge fresh shrimp with freshly shaved coconut and served with a fresh mango puree for sweet dipping. Wet your whistle with a great pina colada too. Go... More

We were wondering SJDC and came upon El Herradero. Had great, guac, arrarchera fajitas and molcàjete. Asked for some salsa picante and got some amazing spicy, habanero salsa. Don Julio pours were generous and we sat outside under the big fans. Great overall local food and hospitality, will return again.

Another good meal at el Herradero. This is one of our regular stops in SJD and one we will continue to make. We did the lobster, rib eye, and shrimp for two and it was well worth the price. You can definitely taste the wood char, both in the homemade salsa and on the meat. The sauce for the shrimp... More

As we we're walking in "el centro" El Heradero caught our eye. It looked very authentic, which it was exactly what we were looking for being out in Mexico. Their food was authentic as well. We weren't very hungry so we ended up having tacos but they we're very good. And their service was great. So if u want REAL... More

Gosh, I'm used to San Diegan Mexican food that is very salty. This restaurant offers real Mexican food and experience. Thankful to discover this through our city tour driver. Con: saw some flies flying, be attentive to your food.

The place is good and overall, it provides good food. The melted cheese or "Queso derretido" is very, very good. Do not order the specialty of the house, the "Hot Stone Dish" or Molcajetes". The entree is over-rated and they charge you a lot for the quantity of food that you actually get. Try other items in the menu.

First plus is that they have an air conditioned dining room in addition to an open air room. Of course we chose the air conditioned room since it's August. I had the Sea Bass Filet grilled with garlic. It was cooked perfectly just reaching the point of flakiness and the seasoning was absolutely delicious! Accompanied with an ice cold Michelada... More

Cute place. Delicious seafood omelet. Local favorite. Good variety of breakfast selections with freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was excellent, friendly and welcoming. Open for lunch and dinner, too.
