I must say I struggle to understand all the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this "would-be" or is it "has-been" fine dining restaurant. The location by Alegranza condos is awkward, the streets are empty and give you a "walking-dead" chill in the back. The restaurant has trash cans at its entrance so you are greeted with the aromas of yesterday's diners.... More

The food, ambiance were marvelous. Service is outstanding. The chef expained every dish he brought out. I recommend it for a romantic dinner

Glad to see some posts about Michelin star. My wife and I had the same discussion at dinner here last night. Quite simply among the best restaurants you will eat at anywhere, not just San Jose/San Lucas. From start to finish every bite was memorable. This is our 3rd visit to this restaurant, and each time we had the place... More

We were the only guests in the stylish little restaurant just off the plaza one night and were treated to an absolutely phenomenal dining experience. I agree with an earlier poster that this place is worthy of a Michelin Star! The tastes, presentation, courses, service...all excellent and at a superb value for the experience!

This was our third time dining at this restaurant. We have visited each of their previous locations and while all have been charming, this latest incarnation is sleek and chic, just lovely. Small and intimate, the service is impeccable and along with the menu could challenge any fine dining establishment in the foodie towns of the US. We opted for... More

Let me start by saying, if you are looking for Casianos at Club de Golf Fonatur you will be at the wrong location (as we were). Fortunately, one of the employees was at this location and explained they were not open, but their new location downtown was. As we are not that familiar with San Jose he asked us to... More

The food & service deserves a standing ovation. It was our first dining experience during a three month visit & it was the best. The taste from the different foods, including shrimp, lobster, & steak, set a very high standard. We frequently ordered take-out at the pool or for a quick dinner. Always impressed with the food's quality & preparation.

Anyone looking for a special and memorable meal in San Jose del Cabo should stop by Casianos. The staff is wonderful and attentive and more importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! The menu changes every night, but our group especially loved the short rib/shrimp combination and the chef's fresh spin on a tamale. Will most definitely return when we come back... More

When you are done with tacos, guac and chips and want something special and memorable, head over to Casianos. You can order a 3-course or 5-course tasting menu. For $15 more ($75/pp), we opted for the 5-course. Two apps, two entrees, one dessert. My wife actually had the salmon and was the first time I have ever seen her eat... More

As a former member of the board of the American Institute of wine and food, I have been privileged to eat in some of the finest restaurants in the world. This restaurant stands up to all of them. Every course was meticulous. The service was spectacular. The setting is beautiful, although it is not a water view. We opted for... More
