This place is fantastic! The chicken is the best I have ever had and worth the wait. The sausage was also great and came with the most delicious mustard sauce. We learned from the chef the sauce is made in house and takes over a...week to prepare. We have eaten at many of the top restaurants in Cabo and San Jose and the food at La Revolucion is as good or better than all of them at much better prices. Service and vibe are also great. Can't recommend this place enough.More

We ate at La Revolućion twice during our week in San Jose. The menu is both authentic and imaginative, with the chef adding a touch of sophistication to traditional dishes without it feeling forced, showy or inauthentic. The marine corn soup is a great example...of this and a fantastic way to start the meal when shared between two. Catch of the day (yellowtail), pork chop and ceviche were all excellent too. The service was also excellent - friendly and attentive, the staff were happy to provide explanations of the dishes and their traditional origins, and all in English. Definitely recommended, it’s the first reservation I will make if I ever return to San Jose.More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great - beautiful decor, high ceilings. And the service was outstanding. Some of the food was outstanding - we especially liked the signature sashimi-style dish. But our fish entree was a little undercooked and the pesto pasta with lamb...had very little lamb.More

Stepping into this place was a refreshing change from the typical, ever-present, touristy, multi-colored "dia de muertos meets colonial-esque" vibe found...everywhere in this town. From the amuse-bouche to the fresh drinks and consistently through to the appetizers and main course , this place sets a...new standard. These guys actually have a decent chef in the kitchen and it shows... and tastes. Almost every restaurant in this town replicates the supposedly authentic cuisine that draws in the Gringos from the north. Nothing done in any of those restaurants requires any special skill or technique. Whoever is doing thr cooking here ranks up there with the highest end stuff. You won't see or hear a mariachi band pass by your table here. Thank God! Don't miss this place if you need to escape the tourist traps everywhere else.More

While one of our pricier dinners in San Jose Del Cabos, it certainly was worth the cost. I was especially impressed by the roast pork chop, perfectly done and seasoned along with the grilled vegetables. Delicious. Worth returning.

I went in to this place, the upstairs bar. I had five drinks throughout the night, margaritas. I was charged 1400 Pesos!!!!! This bar is crooked and I advise everyone to stay away from it. They forget they are in San Jose not San Lucas....I will be telling everyone I know that comes to San Jose about this place. Doubt it will last long once all the tourists come back and find out about this place.More

Had dinner with my foodie teens and only wish we were hungrier. Loved the high ceilings and the hip interiors. Also the oysters in some kind of pepper sauce that was not spicy at all. My daughter would go back to Cabo for the tortilla...soup. Incredible smoky flavor! And the pesto pasta with lamb and broccolini was done perfectly al dente and so fresh.More

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Revolution. Our waiter Alvaro Madrid, was an extremely professional waiter, and kindly suggested various dishes that featured local flavors. We started with a delicious house salad with the most perfect light dressing, following, we had the...grilled pork with a delightful medley of root veggies and small salad served on a wood board. We especially loved the mole sauce that was served in a compote with the pork. The other dish that was carefully explained to us by Alvaro, prior to ordering, was a dish called sea rice that had various local seafood over the most delicious flavored rice. We ended the meal with warmed apple pie and vanilla ice cream to go! Highly recommend this restaurant that is simply elegant with lovely artwork on the walls on a nice street in the town of San Jose. Make sure to ask for Alvaro to be your waiter! You won’t be disappointed with his extreme professionalism and passion for food and top notch service expertise! He made our experience extra special while dining on the delicious food.More
