STEAK, Chops, and Such has become my favorite place for consistently fantastic cuisine. There is no other steakhouse serving the quality of cuts that STEAK does. They truly melt in your mouth. The lobster tails are always perfectly prepared and when they off the seafood tower…oh my…it’s spectacular!I have had every side and each time I go, I have a difficult time choosing. The seared scallop dish is an absolute favorite dish for me!
The desserts are second to none in Cabo with authentic New York style cheesecake that is difficult to find in Mexico. My favorite is the baked Alaska, but the special dessert…molten chocolate lava cake with fresh black cherry ice cream and grand marnier was decadent.
Now for the setting. Unlike many restaurants in Cabo, the music is set at a level that is perfect to still have conversation at the table. Such a welcome change. The decor takes you back in time to feel as though you are dining with the Rat Pack…and the music matches that with Frank Sinatra and the likes playing.
The service exemplifies attentive staff without hovering. Because of the small and intimate setting, every guest is treated like royalty. Juan and his staff and the epitome of class and knowledge.
Don’t miss out on STEAK…whether it be a light meal going solo or with a group…you will not be disappointed.

Everything was fantastic. Shrimp cocktail sauce was a 10, jumbo U8 shrimp.
Lobster Bisque, some of the best I’ve ever had. The mushrooms and veggies were delicious. Juan the GM was very knowledgeable about the whole menu and took us thru each course, and his waitstaff were on point at every turn. The steak (8ozFilet) was cooked med/rare to perfection. Must try the sweet potatoes w/maple glaze and pomegranate seeds. Desert was a 24 layer chocolate cake the could have fed a soccer team it was so big. Cocktails,wine and after dinner drinks. Best meal I’ve had in Cabo in a long time. Chef David took the time to greet us at our table and discuss the menu. Wonderful evening.

From the complimentary freshly baked bread to scallop appetizer to filet & rack of lamb the food was matched only by the service. The manager, Juan, explained every item on the menu. Drinks were strong. Ambience like a 60s night club in NY, all black & red. The entrance is a bit misleading but well worth walking in. One of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Absolutely Phenomenal!!!
Can I give this place a 6 star review? As a Canadian expat from Toronto and now a local permanent resident all I can say is WOW! This truly is one of the best dinner experiences I have EVER had… and I eat well. Steak leaves nothing to be desired, the food is absolutely to die for.. the menu is full of the classics and executed perfectly, the service and attention to detail is second to none and the atmosphere is that of an old time New York speak easy. We came with a group of friends for an evening out and ended up staying until 5am… yep… you heard right… they are open until 5am, and we closed the place down. We had the most magical evening. I don't often write reviews but Steak deserves this!
Even the little gift of a beautifully wrapped piece of cake they give to each guest at the end of your dinner for the next morning is just so perfect. The icing on the cake so-to-say. The attention to detail leaves you thoroughly impressed and looking at your calendar for when you can return. Trust me… Go to Steak!!

I found the restaurant to be highly overrated. Limited menu with overpriced, average tasting food. I had two small overcooked lobster tails for $95. Their side offering of a baked potato is a half of a very small potato, nothing like you would expect from a quality steakhouse. The wine prices are outrageous. For example, a $100 retail priced wine is listed on their wine list for $1,000. And they prohibit you from bringing in your own bottle of wine. There are many great restaurants in Cabo, but unfortunately this is not one of them. I will not be going back.

On behalf of our entire staff and management at STEAK I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant and to share your impressions. We greatly value our guests and their feedback and welcome any and all constructive suggestions for improvement. As the Owner of STEAK however I feel compelled to personally respond to you as your shared experience here is such a significant outlier of our usual guest perceptions that it actually felt a bit jarring to hear. Our staff takes great pride and care in both our service and food standards and I was pleased in reviewing the 2.5 hours of video of your dining experience that our service appeared to be entirely in line with our training and expectations and that our General Manager was so interactive with your table during the course of your dinner. We have a credo that no guest ever leave the restaurant not completely happy and all of those interactions would have been the perfect time to have expressed any displeasure or dissatisfaction with the quality of preparation or product or size of our portions. If those had been expressed we would have certainly done everything humanly possible to have assured your complete satisfaction. Our portion sizes are intended to be ample and satisfying and, as you can see from our many other reviews, typically viewed as more than agreeable. Our pricing is carefully calibrated to be competitive with Steakhouses of our caliber and all prices are fully INCLUSIVE of the 16% mandatory sales tax determined by the state tax authorities.
We are very proud too of our extensive international wine list housing a number of powerhouse Napa Valley vintages as well as our rare Kentucky bourbon collection. You are entirely right however regarding our corkage policy and I thank you for bringing it so clearly to our attention. I am pleased to say that, based on your feedback, we are effective immediately adjusting that policy, reducing the cost significantly and that new policy shall be $35 USD per bottle (with a maximum of 3 bottles) and with a request that the bottles are not available from our wine list…additionally for each bottle purchased from our list, one corkage charge shall be waived. I hope you will find this to be a more appropriate arrangement regarding corkage policy and, again, I very much thank you for being the impetus to trigger this change.
Sir, my sincere apologies that your dining experience at STEAK fell short of your expectations. Great apps, it’s in a strip club so there’s full security and that sort of atmosphere. We didn’t know that and probably wouldn’t have come has we known.
Apps were really good, Salads were also good. The cowboy steak could have been trimmed better and was a bit chewy for a $165 steak. Lobster was a bit overcooked and chewy as well.
Drinks are insanely expensive here. You can’t get a glass of wine for less than $40 and a cocktail is $30.

This spot is great for a dinner setting, very intimate, the service and staff is incredible. The food was a 1000/10. We got the lobster bisque to start- there were giant chunks of lobster and the flavor was so unique. We then split the cold water lobster and new york strip, it was hands down the best lobster and steak ive ever had. The steak was cooked to the perfect temperature and had an amazing char on the outside. We also got complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. The staff is so amazing. I highly recommend!! Noah and Kevin were amazing.

It isn’t very often that a dining experience is actually an ”experience” and not a predictable, templated customer turnstile. STEAK Chops & Such, is an experience. Situated in the most unlikely of locations and exuding a classic fine dining atmosphere, this restaurant is unique in Cabo. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived, and the staff is top notch. There is a great wine list and menu isn’t intimidating, with the selections very well thought out. The portion sizes, from apps to deserts, can best be described as gargantuan and the food quality is on par with anything I have had in the genre. Yep... a great experience and a fine dining “must do” in Cabo.

If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience, look no further than Steak Chops and Such. This new, exclusive (only six tables) restaurant offers a Rat Pack, speakeasy vibe while plating up some of the best USDA Prime steaks we’ve ever had - and we’re from Chicago!
Juan will greet you at the door by name, and lead you up a small staircase to the restaurant. The vibe is elegant and sexy, the service is incredible, the food is absolutely otherworldly. It’s adjacent to a gentleman’s club, but don’t let that put you off at all. We brought our teenage children and were very comfortable.
When we were finished, Juan arranged for a taxi that was curbside by the time we got down the staircase.
Do not miss this truly special gem. And don’t skip the Baked Alaska!

I was looking for a Vesper Martini, it was perfect. The French onion soup amazing. Salad was okay and the salmon was quite good as well. I truly enjoyed the service and conversation with the staff. It was a lovely dinner until I realized, I am an expensive date. (I took myself out to dinner, lol). I had a very unnecessary piece of cheesecake to take home as I was actually full after the onion soup. My bill for myself was over $200 US. That was the only downside. I went back the following week with a guest from out of town and I had two drinks and the bowl of soup and was out for a reasonable amount.

We had a great experience at STEAK the other night, I can hardly describe how wonderful the food and the service were. We were caving everything on the menu and had a hard time trying to decide. We ordered the Scallops, the lobster bisque as starters, and incredible blue cheese and bacon salad, and as a main course a magnificent STEAK and Lobster tails along with some of their great sauces. To close a great and delicious dinner we ordered a 24 layers decadent chocolate cake that was to die for!!! Their martinis and recomended drinks blended as perfection with our food.
Everything was so great, and every detail very well taken care of, that we will definitely look forward to do again....highly recommended!!!

Service was great. I worked at a steakhouse through university so I like to think I have an eye & ear for detail. The server was very knowledgable and gave a couple great recommendations. I even challenged the chef and asked for a 'chicago rare' and it came out absolutely perfect.
Me personally I would have never thought to put sweet potato mash with pomegranate, it was amazing. Everyone at the table was reaching for seconds and thirds, we actually ordered a second dish, it was that good.
Very cool and intimate setting, reminds me of the ratpack days. Can't believe this place is in cabo and not Vegas.
Portions are large, desserts are HUGE..so don't be afraid to share.

We had the opportunity to visit this place that was wonderful from the moment we entered, until the farewell of all your wonderful team. The cuts of meat were simply impeccable, the menu seemed to us inca complete a work of art.
Juan, the sommelier gave us luxurious attention with his high sense of hospitality.
Finally, the desserts were a spectacular delight.

As soon as you enter Steak , you realize that you have been taken back to a classic style steakhouse. From the friendly and experienced staff to Juan the manager, who made sure throughout the night that we were definitely taken care of. The expert suggestions in regards to red wine, appetizers, entrées and desserts were right on. I would highly recommend ‘Steak’ for any business or personal function. Centrally located downtown, a place you must visiting Cabo!!

As a full time resident of Cabo, I will say this is the best steakhouse in Cabo! Without question. I had talked some trash about it and was invited in to experience it and I was over the top impressed! The quality if the meat is outstanding( you have to be careful down here ), service is on point and its a great place to bring a female date. Some people find these places intimidating, when we were there it was mostly date night couples and few tables of women.
