We had an incredible dining experience at Hacienda Cocina y Cantina in Cabo San Lucas! The atmosphere was breathtaking, with stunning ocean views that made for the perfect backdrop to a fantastic meal. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
Our server, Arnulfo, went above and beyond to make our evening special. His attentive service, friendly demeanor, and great recommendations made all the difference. He truly made us feel welcome and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish.
If you're in Cabo, this is a must-visit spot for an unforgettable dining experience. We can’t wait to return!

The service was perfection. After a full day of travel we were exhausted. We wanted a chill dinner by the ocean. We were about to be seated in a spot that we weren’t sure about and they immediately set us at the perfect comfortable table overlooking the bay. Emisaal (Manny) was our server. The view was fantastic but Mannys service was impeccable. He recommended the best wines and guided us to the perfect dinner. 10 out of 10. Wonderful memories.

Hacienda was a great dinner spot! Our server Manuel was extremely attentive to everyone in our party including somebody with food allergies. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. The setting was beautiful and the live music was a great vibe.

This was our favorite place to eat in all of Cabo. Great food and amazing views right on the beach. The service was always top notch also. It had been quite a few years since our last visit, and the online menu prices you see are not even close to the current prices. It was quite a sticker shock to see the exact same thing you had before now cost 3 times as much. The food was still delicious, but now you felt like you were getting gauged. It is the last time our family will visit this restaurant, which is sad because we really have loved the staff, the views, and the food in the past. To give you an idea of the current greed of ownership...we were given water to drink at the start. Never asked for it. Most of us got a Coke, and water was refilled occasionally (again no one asked for or ordered water) . At the end of the night, we were charged 30 dollars for water. It became a running joke throughout our stay in Cabo, but how disappointing for such a nice place to take advantage of customers in that way. Hopefully this info helps someone else avoid the same issue.

Well it pains me to make this review. I have been to this restaurant about 10 times. Overall, before tonight my thoughts were always okay it’s definitely pricey but the service, food and view make up for it. However, after tonight I don’t think I can say the same. We came to dinner early (5pm) and got a great table with a great view ( we were pretty much the only customers here). We were asked what type of water we would like - I said house water. They said we don’t have house water - so we said okay bottled water bonafonte. Next thing we know we have Fiji water in our glasses. I don’t typically make a big deal about this but the cheapest bottle of red wine was 2500 pesos ($160). For a 5pm last minute dinner this is crazy. I can’t even think of nice restaurants in the US where $160 is cheapest bottle of red wine. I asked for a glass of the 450 peso (almost $30 USD) per glass red wine (there are about 5 in this price range which is still crazy but I didn’t want to complain). Apparently they were out of all 5 of these wines and they brought out a glass of wine that was 600 pesos (almost $40 a glass). It was Robert Mondavi which is literally $12 a bottle in the US…..we had enough at this point so we decided to just walk up and leave. Of course the waiter chases us down and doesn’t ask us what is wrong. Just that we need to pay for the Fiji water bottle that we never asked for. Wow. I pitched a big fit and the manager ended up telling us we didn’t have to pay for the water but wow what a terrible experience. For reference, we went to Edith’s after this (we have had pricey dinners at Edith’s before), however we had a full dinner with a tasty bottle and a half of wine for less than what a bottle of crap red wine cost at Hacienda. Will not be back unless serious changes are made. Gave 2 stars cause I feel bad as I have had good experiences here before, otherwise would have been a half star review.

We return to Hacienda Cocina y Cantina every time we bring guests to Cabo. The setting is stunning and the staff are always friendly and helpful. This time I went with a group of seven women. We were seated at a lovely outdoor table. The menu had a wonderful selection of items, and our group chose the sea bass and tuna. Both were excellent. We had only three members who drank wine. No one else drinks alcohol. We told the waiter we wanted a bottle of wine. He brought the wine list. We chose a rose. They didn’t have it. Our second option was a Pinot Grigio at around $50. When the bill came, we were charged $110 and given the explanation that we chose a wine from the wine by the glass page. It was a celebration so I didn’t want to put a damper on the rest of a beautiful evening. But it left a sour taste and I will hesitate before returning. I felt that we were expected to order expensive drinks and because we didn’t, we were given a phony charge. So beware.

A fellow guest at our resort recommended Hacienda Cocina & Cantina as a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy a great meal. We were not lucky enough to be seated at the comfy banquets with an awesome view of the cruise ships and beach, but our awesome waiter Manuel more than made up for it. We were really drawn to the design of the bar, the domed roof overhead, and the elevated seating with more privacy. I went for the pulpo san carlos as an appetizer and the special pulpo a las bravas as an entree and it was a work of art that was cooked to perfection. My husband had the fish special, sea bass, and loved the fish, but not the white rice accompanying it. Our dessert of churros de la casa was the perfect end to our special meal. One thing I have to suggest to TA is that the price level rating of $$-$$$ is not in line with their prices. It should be $$$$ as you pay for water, bread, and very good cocktails and wines which are all on the expensive side.

Four of us friends met in Cabo to celebrate our birthdays in 2024. We went here the last night a little before sunset and were seated at a table near the bar in sort of a big open cupola. It had a view of the marina/beach as well as down the places down the beach. It was beautiful to watch the boats make their way into the harbor for the night as it got darker.
We started with margaritas with reposado tequila that were excellent. For our appetizer, we had the guacamole made at the table. Served with chips sprinkled with tahini, it was the best! Don’t miss it! They also bring various sauces to dip the chips in, but we found the chips too pungent with the sauces, but just right with the guacamole. One of us had the tortilla soup, which she liked but was not crazy about. I had the sea bass which was nicely done. The other two had the honey mango shrimp which comes with mashed potatoes but one got a salad instead. Both said the shrimp were excellent.
The only drawback to the restaurant was when the hotels down the beach began playing loud music with an announcer on a loud speaker who sounded like he was running some sort of a contest. It lasted for maybe 20 minutes or so right during dinner and detracted from the ambiance. Perhaps some of the tables completely in the open would have not heard it as loudly as we did. Something to ask about if/when you go.

We visited on our last night in Cabo and it was an absolute amazing experience. The view , service, drinks and food were 10/10. This is a great location to watch the sunset. Our reservation was at 3:30 and kitchen is closed from 4-5pm to prep for dinner so, we ordered an appetizer and had a drink while we waited

We went to Hacienda Cocina and Cantina to celebrate our 33 year anniversary with our good friends. The atmosphere, food and service made it a very special evening. Our waiters were Miguel, Alex and Isia (spelling?). They were very attentive and made our evening extra special. For appetizers we had guacamole, which they make fresh at your table, and Queso Fondue which was Chorizo, mozzarella cheese and tortillas, both were delicious. Dinner we had sea bass, pasta, and Arrachera flank steak wo tender that could be cut with a fork. At the end of the meal, the waiters brought a special after dinner drink and desert with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. Thank you to Miguel, Alex and Isia for making our evening so special!

My husband and I have been going to Hacienda Cocina & Cantina for at least the past 10 years. It is a tradition that this is the first place we eat for dinner as it never disappoints; however, this time it did and we will not be coming back as they have gone too far in overpricing their food and drinks. The service is always excellent and the atmosphere is one of the best in Cabo. We were here 6 months ago and in 6 months the prices doubled. The margaritas are now over $30 and our normal entree went from $50 to $100 in just 6 months. We don't mind paying high prices when deserved as we can definitely afford it, but to increase $50 in 6 months is just insane and overpriced. They aren't serving USDA Prime for that amount, so the food isn't worth that amount in our opinion. They obviously don't want the average person eating with them, so they can stand to lose us thankfully. I am sure those that have no problem paying these prices will have the best experience. I am going to miss eating here, but I am sure there is another place that will be just as good and can be our new tradition.

Beautiful setting overlooking the bay in Cabo. Great drinks, service and food
Only problem. The menu proves listed on Trip Advisor are vastly understated. The molcajete to share costs $1,500 pesos, about $90. On this site the price on menu is shown at $38 US. While I thought I was going to moderately priced restaurant it was the most expensive dinner I had in Cabo. Over $300US for 2.
It was still a wonderful evening.

The food was very good but pretty expensive for what you get. We got an appetizer, dinner, and dessert and it was about $285 USD. We knew it would be expensive because we read reviews before going so it was no surprise, just expected the portion sizes to be significantly larger for those prices. It was great, but what my husband calls "pretty food". All that said...we would return. The ambiance, the service, and the views were incredible. This is a very beautiful restaurant.

Breakfast was absolutely incredible! This was the ideal place to have breakfast before our boat party. The food was simply top-notch. Each of us ordered something different, and it was all delicious and well-prepared. Service was TOP TIER! Thank you Silver, Alejandro, and Miguel for making this breakfast special for my birthday!

This beautiful restaurant is an intricate part of our Cabo experience and does not disappoint. The excellent service, attention to detail and love makes this one of favorite restaurants. Tonight Miguel and Jesus went out of their way to schedule a special reservation for us on Thanksgiving where the chef will prepare one of our favorite discontinued dishes. The staff is excellent, ambiance magical….make this place part of your Cabo experience!
