Although we usually stay in town to enjoy all that is available, we always come to the Cape for dinner on the top patio. Amazing food, craft cocktails and stellar service. Thank you, Thompson, for another epic experience! ♥️

Located at the rooftop of the cape, the food is great (try the shrimp) and the service was fantastic. Amazing view of the Bay.

Been hearing good things about the view and the drinks, so on our last day we thought why not come check it out. Boy, are we disappointed. Charging USD$14-18 for a cocktail at an upscale hotel in Cabo is the norm, but it better be...a damn well made cocktail and good looking. We tried three of their signature cocktails, and they ranged from bad to maybe acceptable. "The Cape" signature drink was too busy with the flavors, combining basil, mint, pineapple, grapefruit, bitters was too much. Can't really distinguish the taste, nor was there any layers, did not taste good at all. Aesthetically it was not appealing, the color was a murky brown green. My Mezcal cocktail flavor was too overpowered by the juice and didn't highlight the smokiness that stands out in Mezcal. Lastly, the safest drink we got was a gin based one with cucumber and syrup. Ordered a guac and chips to go with the drinks, the avocado was barely smashed. We finished the rest of the cooking for them with our forks. Next to us was a couple who were very upset and asking to speak with the manager, sounds like their reservation got messed up. The only ones that were happy here were the young ladies having their mini-photoshoot for IG, and some random dudes just sitting there with their drinks with their eyes on others. So I guess I can only recommend this place if you are looking to meet people and you have no care for quality of your food/drinks. If you are traveling with a group of friends or celebrating a special occasion, at this price range you will be much happier at Esperanza or Waldorf Astoria. About the same price, still amazing view but with much better quality service and drinks/food. The Cape is like a kid trying to play with the big boys.More

This review is for the roof top bar! After spending more than $1000 at Manta ( which was amazing), the manager suggested that we check out the bar upstairs. We took the elevator up to grab drinks and the hostess bluntly lied that there were...over capacity.meanwhile 6 ppl walked in , flirted with her and proceeded to the bar ! We requested to talk to the manager and Carlos continued lying about the capacity. After witnessing his arrogant and rude behavior , we decided to leave the place immediately and spend our money elsewhere. The unprofessional and disgusting attitude of the staff at the roof bar ruined our amazing experience at the restaurant ...More

The Rooftop at the Cape had one of the most amazing views and sunsets in CABO! Its located at the Cape a Thompson Hotel which is very swanky and has this modern and sophisticated feel. We got here right when they opened at 6pm. And...we were seated almost immediately we had the best BREATHTAKING view right on the end by the corner. We had direct view of the Ocean and ALL WE COULD HEAR were the waves lapping on the beach the whole night! So romantic!! In the far distance we could see Los Arcos in the horizon!. The place quickly filled up but everyone was socially distanced. Our guy server was the best and we order the chicken wing appetizer which absolutely delicious and I had a Sonoma chardonnay while hubby ordered Pacifico's. Had the best sunset and officially feel like this my favorite place South of the Border! Highly recommend next time you're in Cabo!!More

I don’t remember if it is 21+, would call the hotel and ask. If they allow under 21 it could be fun (it’s more of a mature crowd / vibe), but maybe taking him to the office or ediths would be more fun (they have mariachi... More

I think that you will have to google what time the sunsets in Cabo in December. I tend to think you will have to go rather early.
